Welcome back to another mixed media project. This is going to be my last Halloween project for this year, since this is the last Monday of October. Most of this month&#8217;s projects were somewhat creepy, so I decided to finish the season with something funny! I did a simple ink blend, using Distress Oxide inks in colours Antique Linen, Carved Pumpkin and Crackling Campfire. Then, I used the Echo Park Creepy Crawly Web stencil with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink, to add some visual texture on my background. I used the same ink, diluted with water, to splatter and then I dried my page. I darkened the page&#8217;s edges with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink and then I realized that I wanted darker splatter. So, I used Black Soot Distress Paint to add some intense black splatter on my project. I guess, by now you all know how much I like the Snarky Cat stamp sets by Tim Holtz. It should be no surprise to you that I chose to use one of those sets! So, I used the Snarky Cat Halloween stamp set, I stamped one of the cats, the pumpkin and the jar with the mushrooms, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I coloured them with alcohol markers. I also stamped one of the sentiments from the set on black cardstock and then I heat embossed it with Ranger White embossing powder. It says &#8222;Candy&#8230; What candy?&#8220; and it plays well with my actual sentiment! Then I thought that it would be nice to have some bats on my background. So, I stamped the bat from the Snarky Cat Halloween stamp set twice, directly on my background, with Onyx Black VersaFine ink, and I heat embossed them with Ranger Black embossing powder. I discarded the actual letters and kept the piece they came out of, turning it into a sign. I placed it on my page and then I filled the letter gapes with Ranger Glossy Accents. It says &#8222;I&#8217;m here for the candy&#8220; and I find it very funny, especially combined with the small sentiment from the Snarky Cat Halloween set. I feel a little sad that Halloween is moving to its end, but I had a lot of fun this month! Ich habe eine einfache Tintenmischung mit Distress Oxide Tinten in den Farben Antique Linen, Carved Pumpkin und Crackling Campfire erstellt. Und damit war mein Hintergrund fertig!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zeit, meine Bilder vorzubereiten. Ich sch\u00e4tze, ihr wisst mittlerweile alle, wie sehr mir die Snarky Cat Stempelsets von Tim Holtz gefallen. Also wird es euch nicht \u00fcberraschen, dass ich mich f\u00fcr eines dieser Sets entschieden habe! Ich habe das Snarky Cat Halloween Stempelset verwendet, eine der Katzen, den K\u00fcrbis und das Glas mit den Pilzen mit Memento Tuxedo Black Tinte bestempelt und sie dann mit Alkoholmarkern koloriert. Au\u00dferdem habe ich eines der Spr\u00fcche aus dem Set auf schwarzen Karton gestempelt und es dann mit Ranger White Embossing Pulver hei\u00dfgepr\u00e4gt. Ich habe die eigentlichen Buchstaben verworfen und das St\u00fcck behalten, aus dem sie entstanden sind, und daraus ein Schild gemacht. Ich habe es auf meiner Seite platziert und dann die Buchstabenl\u00fccken mit Ranger Glossy Accents gef\u00fcllt. Darauf steht \u201eIch bin wegen den S\u00fc\u00dfigkeiten hier\u201c und ich finde es sehr lustig, vor allem in Kombination mit dem kleinen Spruch aus dem Snarky Cat Halloween Set. Welcome back to another mixed media project. This is going to be my last Halloween project for this year, since this is the last Monday of October. Most of this month&#8217;s projects were somewhat creepy, so I decided to finish the season with something funny! Let\u2019s start with the materials I used: Materials\u00a0(If something is not in stock, please simply click on \u201cProduct reminder\u201d\/ \u201cProdukterinnerung\u201d) For today&#8217;s project, I worked on a page in my mixed media Art Journal and I started with my background. I did a simple ink blend, using Distress Oxide inks in colours Antique Linen, Carved Pumpkin and Crackling Campfire. Then, I used the Echo Park Creepy Crawly Web stencil with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink, to add some visual texture on my background. I used the same ink, diluted with water, to splatter and then I dried my page. I darkened the page&#8217;s edges with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink and then I realized that I wanted darker splatter. So, I used Black Soot Distress Paint to add some intense black splatter on my project. And with that, my background was done! It was time to prepare my images. I guess, by now you all know how much I like the Snarky Cat stamp sets by Tim Holtz. It should be no surprise to you that I chose to use one of those sets! So, I used the Snarky Cat Halloween stamp set, I stamped one of the cats, the pumpkin and the jar with the mushrooms, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I coloured them with alcohol markers. I also stamped one of the sentiments from the set on black cardstock and then I heat embossed it with Ranger White embossing powder. It says &#8222;Candy&#8230; What candy?&#8220; and it plays well with my actual sentiment! Then I thought that it would be nice to have some bats on my background. So, I stamped the bat from the Snarky Cat Halloween stamp set twice, directly on my background, with Onyx Black VersaFine ink, and I heat embossed them with Ranger Black embossing powder. As a last little bit of decoration, I chose some confection pieces from the Idea-Ology Confections Halloween set, I sliced them in half to make them a little less thick and used them with the rest of my images. My sentiment is cut with the Sizzix Bold Text Halloween Thinlits set out of black cardstock. I discarded the actual letters and kept the piece they came out of, turning it into a sign. I placed it on my page and then I filled the letter gapes with Ranger Glossy Accents. It says &#8222;I&#8217;m here for the candy&#8220; and I find it very funny, especially combined with the small sentiment from the Snarky Cat Halloween set. I attached the rest of my images all around my sentiment, using my trusty Tonic Craft Tacky glue and I gave faces to some of the candy corn confections. And that was the project for today! I feel a little sad that Halloween is moving to its end, but I had a lot of fun this month!
