Merry Christmas! Welcome back to another mixed media project. I have a very interesting and fun Christmas gift idea to share with you today! I know I am a bit late with it. I was planning on showing this to you last Monday, but I got sick and didn&#8217;t manage. Oh well&#8230; better late than ever! The first thing that is needed are flowerpots. I chose ceramic flowerpots and saucers. The saucers have to be big enough to be used as lids for the pots. I filled the pots with whatever gift was small enough to fit in there. The common things to use as gifts in these pot baskets are garden materials such as gloves, seeds, pruners etc. We actually filled the pots with sweets and socks, tools, tea, soap, etc. Just about anything that can fit inside the pots and can be given as a gift is good! I tied the pots with twine, to close them, and then I glued some dried, preserved moss on top of the lid, covering the twine. I used hot glue for the gluing part, because it can easily be removed from the ceramic pots. My main decorations are made with Tim Holtz products. I used Idea-Ology Woodland Trees on all four pots. I wanted to make the tips of the trees look white, like covered in snow, so I started by applying white gesso on them. I coloured the trees with Rustic Wilderness Distress Spray Stain. As you can see in the pictures, the gesso resisted the ink and the tips of the trees remained white. Then, I coloured a few Idea-Ology Baubles with Crimson Alcohol ink. I used those on the bigger trees and for the smaller trees I made little balls of Christmas Red Stickles glitter glue. Two of the pots have Idea-Ology Salvaged Figures on them. The one pot has the Nutcracker and the Snowman and the other has two little Deers. I coloured the Salvaged Figures with Distress Paints (in several different colours) and once the paint was dry, I covered them with a thin layer of Multi Medium Matte and sprinkled them with Rock Candy glitter. The other two pots have little houses on them. I cut those houses out of heavy weight kraft cardstock, using the Sizzix Paper Village #2 Thinlits set. I used Ranger Black Opaque Texture Paste to create the roof tiles (one by one) and then I coloured them with Distress Paint. I used the Idea-Ology Wood Slices, to create a base for the houses and then I hid the base with some more moss. I have a lot of embellishments on the pots, like little trinkets we got according to what each person likes (for example, my father in law has a little train on his pot). I also used some dried Statice flowers from my garden. As Tags, I used the Santas that are hanging from the sides. They are made out of Coloured Cardstock and some Glitter paper and they are cut with the Sizzix Santa Greetings Colorize Thinlits set. On their banner they have the names of the recipients. I made holes on the Santa hats and attached eyelets to them. Das Erste, was ben\u00f6tigt wird, sind Blument\u00f6pfe. Ich habe mich f\u00fcr Blument\u00f6pfe und Untertassen aus Keramik entschieden. Die Untertassen m\u00fcssen gro\u00df genug sein, um als Deckel f\u00fcr die T\u00f6pfe verwendet zu werden. Ich habe die T\u00f6pfe mit Geschenken gef\u00fcllt, die klein genug waren, um hineinzupassen. Die h\u00e4ufigsten Dinge, die in solchen T\u00f6pfen als Geschenke verwendet werden, sind Gartenmaterialien wie Handschuhe, Samen, Gartenscheren usw. Wir haben die T\u00f6pfe tats\u00e4chlich mit S\u00fc\u00dfigkeiten und Socken, Werkzeugen, Tee, Seife usw. gef\u00fcllt. So ziemlich alles, was in die T\u00f6pfe passt und verschenkbar ist, ist gut! Ich habe die T\u00f6pfe mit Bindfaden umwickelt, um sie zu verschlie\u00dfen, und dann habe ich etwas getrocknetes, konserviertes Moos auf den Deckel geklebt, um den Bindfaden abzudecken. F\u00fcr den Klebeteil habe ich Hei\u00dfkleber verwendet, da dieser sich leicht von den Keramikt\u00f6pfen entfernen l\u00e4sst. Meine Hauptdekorationen werden mit Produkten von Tim Holtz hergestellt. Ich habe f\u00fcr alle vier T\u00f6pfe Woodland Trees von Idea-Ology verwendet. Ich wollte, dass die Spitzen der B\u00e4ume wei\u00df aussehen, als w\u00e4ren sie mit Schnee bedeckt, also habe ich zun\u00e4chst wei\u00dfes Gesso darauf aufgetragen. Dann habe ich die B\u00e4ume mit Rustic Wilderness Distress Spray Stain gef\u00e4rbt. Wie ihr auf den Bildern sehen k\u00f6nnt, hielt das Gesso der Tinte stand und die Spitzen der B\u00e4ume blieben wei\u00df. Danach habe ich ein paar Idea-Ology Baubles mit Crimson Alcohol Tinte koloriert. Diese habe ich bei den gr\u00f6\u00dferen B\u00e4umen verwendet und f\u00fcr die kleineren B\u00e4ume habe ich kleine Kugeln aus Christmas Red Stickles Glitzerkleber gemacht. Auf zwei der T\u00f6pfe befinden sich Idea-Ology Salvaged Figures. Der eine Topf enth\u00e4lt den Nussknacker und den Schneemann und der andere enth\u00e4lt zwei kleine Hirsche. Ich habe die Salvaged Figures mit Distress Paints (in mehreren verschiedenen Farben) koloriert und sobald die Farbe getrocknet war, habe ich sie mit einer d\u00fcnnen Schicht Multi Medium Matte bedeckt und sie mit Rock Candy Glitzer bestreut. Welcome back to another mixed media project. I have a very interesting and fun Christmas gift idea to share with you today! I know I am a bit late with it. I was planning on showing this to you last Monday, but I got sick and didn&#8217;t manage. Oh well&#8230; better late than ever! Let\u2019s start with the materials I used: Materials\u00a0(If something is not in stock, please simply click on \u201cProduct reminder\u201d\/ \u201cProdukterinnerung\u201d) I made these presents for my parents in law and my sister in law and her husband. The first thing that is needed are flowerpots. I chose ceramic flowerpots and saucers. The saucers have to be big enough to be used as lids for the pots. I filled the pots with whatever gift was small enough to fit in there. The common things to use as gifts in these pot baskets are garden materials such as gloves, seeds, pruners etc. We actually filled the pots with sweets and socks, tools, tea, soap, etc. Just about anything that can fit inside the pots and can be given as a gift is good! I tied the pots with twine, to close them, and then I glued some dried, preserved moss on top of the lid, covering the twine. I used hot glue for the gluing part, because it can easily be removed from the ceramic pots. And with that, the base for my project was ready! To decorate the tops of the pots, I used a combination of Idea-Ology products, little buildings made with Sizzix dies and some little things from the garden center. My main decorations are made with Tim Holtz products. I used Idea-Ology Woodland Trees on all four pots. I wanted to make the tips of the trees look white, like covered in snow, so I started by applying white gesso on them. I coloured the trees with Rustic Wilderness Distress Spray Stain. As you can see in the pictures, the gesso resisted the ink and the tips of the trees remained white. Then, I coloured a few Idea-Ology Baubles with Crimson Alcohol ink. I used those on the bigger trees and for the smaller trees I made little balls of Christmas Red Stickles glitter glue. Two of the pots have Idea-Ology Salvaged Figures on them. The one pot has the Nutcracker and the Snowman and the other has two little Deers. I coloured the Salvaged Figures with Distress Paints (in several different colours) and once the paint was dry, I covered them with a thin layer of Multi Medium Matte and sprinkled them with Rock Candy glitter. The other two pots have little houses on them. I cut those houses out of heavy weight kraft cardstock, using the Sizzix Paper Village #2 Thinlits set. I used Ranger Black Opaque Texture Paste to create the roof tiles (one by one) and then I coloured them with Distress Paint. I used the Idea-Ology Wood Slices, to create a base for the houses and then I hid the base with some more moss. I have a lot of embellishments on the pots, like little trinkets we got according to what each person likes (for example, my father in law has a little train on his pot). I also used some dried Statice flowers from my garden. The last things I added were some Idea-Ology Mirrored Stars and Idea-Ology Confections. This project has no sentiment, but it does have Tags, because every gift needs a Tag! As Tags, I used the Santas that are hanging from the sides. They are made out of Coloured Cardstock and some Glitter paper and they are cut with the Sizzix Santa Greetings Colorize Thinlits set. On their banner they have the names of the recipients. I made holes on the Santa hats and attached eyelets to them. Then I tied some more twine through those holes and attached the Tags to the pots. And that was the project for today! Ich habe heute eine sehr interessante und lustige Weihnachtsgeschenkidee, die ich mit euch teilen m\u00f6chte! Ich wei\u00df, dass ich etwas sp\u00e4t dran bin. Ich hatte vor, euch das letzten Montag zu zeigen, aber ich wurde krank und habe es nicht geschafft. Naja&#8230; besser sp\u00e4t als nie! Beginnen wir mit den Materialien, die ich verwendet habe: Materialien\u00a0(wenn etwas nicht auf Lager ist, bitte einfach auf \u201eProdukterinnerung\u201c klicken) Ich habe diese Geschenke f\u00fcr meine Schwiegereltern und meine Schw\u00e4gerin und ihren Mann gemacht. Das Erste, was ben\u00f6tigt wird, sind Blument\u00f6pfe. Ich habe mich f\u00fcr Blument\u00f6pfe und Untertassen aus Keramik entschieden. Die Untertassen m\u00fcssen gro\u00df genug sein, um als Deckel f\u00fcr die T\u00f6pfe verwendet zu werden. Ich habe die T\u00f6pfe mit Geschenken gef\u00fcllt, die klein genug waren, um hineinzupassen. Die h\u00e4ufigsten Dinge, die in solchen T\u00f6pfen als Geschenke verwendet werden, sind Gartenmaterialien wie Handschuhe, Samen, Gartenscheren usw. Wir haben die T\u00f6pfe tats\u00e4chlich mit S\u00fc\u00dfigkeiten und Socken, Werkzeugen, Tee, Seife usw. gef\u00fcllt. So ziemlich alles, was in die T\u00f6pfe passt und verschenkbar ist, ist gut!
