Welcome back to another mixed media project. For today, I prepared my first Easter oriented project for this year! I had a lot of fun playing with some Tim Holtz products! I started with the Echo Park Snowy Swirls stencil and Ranger Translucent Distress Texture Paste and I added the stencil design mostly on the upper part of my pages. Then, I added colour! I started with the lower part of the pages and I used Old Paper and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks. I smooshed my inks on a piece of acetate, sprayed the ink with water and then I smooshed the acetate on my pages. I started with the lighter colour and I made sure that everything was dry before I add another layer of colour. Then I moved to the upper part of the pages and here I used Stormy Sky and a little bit of Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Sprays. I sprayed my colours (one at a time), I sprayed with water, I let the colours run, I dabbed off the excess and then I dried the pages. I repeated this process until I liked the results. I wanted to add more texture to my project and I really like text details. So, I used the Stamperia Postcard stencil with Ranger Texture Crackle Paste to add a little bit of text detail on some spots on my project. I used the Sizzix Bunny Games Thinlits set to cut my bunnies, a few eggs and some little daisies. I coloured all the pieces using the ink smooshing technique and a lot of colours. For the bunnies, I used Vintage Photo Distress ink and Lost Shadow and Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide inks. For the eggs, I used Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks for the yellows, Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink for the oranges, Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink for the reds and Salvaged Patina for the blues. My little daisies are coloured with Speckled Egg, Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks. I used a few eggs as ballons, but I needed a basket. So, I cut a flower pot, using the Sizzix Potted #2 Bigz, and then I modified it, making it a little shorter so it would look more like a basket.\u00a0 To coloured it, I simply rubbed the Distress Oxide ink pads on it, going towards one direction only, in order to make it look like it is made out of wood planks. My colours are Ground Espresso, Scorched Timber and Black Soot. To colour the binders of the basket I used Mined Foundry Wax. I haven&#8217;t used this colour before and I really like it! Foundry Wax is Magic! I also used a little Idea-Ology black Droplet from the Halloween set, to work as the nail keeping the basket together. I cut the letters out of white cardstock and out of craft foam. I have the outmost respect for people who can cut several layers of letters and then put them together, but I do not have the patience to do it. Craft foam gives me the dimension I want with less work on my part! Everybody wins like that! Anyway, I used an old shaving brush and some Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink to slightly colour the letters. These brushes are really soft and they are perfect for a light application of colour. Then I used my blending brush to apply more of the same colour but only on the lower parts of the letters. My sentiment says &#8222;Sweet bunny wishes&#8220; and I do believe these bunnies are very sweet! I used my little daisies as embellishments and I spread them all over the project. Ich habe mit der Echo Park Snowy Swirls Schablone und der Ranger Translucent Distress Texture Paste begonnen und das Schablonendesign haupts\u00e4chlich im oberen Teil meiner Seiten hinzugef\u00fcgt. Dann habe ich Farbe hinzugef\u00fcgt! Ich habe mit dem unteren Teil der Seiten begonnen und die Old Paper und Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Tinten verwendet. Ich habe meine Tinten auf ein St\u00fcck Acetat geschmiert, die Tinte mit Wasser bespr\u00fcht und dann das Acetat auf meine Seiten getupft. Ich habe mit der helleren Farbe begonnen und sicher gestellt, dass alles trocken war, bevor ich eine weitere Farbschicht aufgetragen habe. Dann bin ich zum oberen Teil der Seiten \u00fcbergegangen und habe hier Stormy Sky und ein wenig Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Sprays verwendet. Ich habe meine Farben einzeln aufgespr\u00fcht, mit Wasser bespr\u00fcht, die Farben einwirken lassen, den \u00dcberschuss abgetupft und dann die Seiten getrocknet. Ich habe diesen Vorgang wiederholt, bis mir die Ergebnisse gefielen. Ich wollte meinem Projekt mehr Textur verleihen und mir gefallen Textdetails sehr gut. Ich habe das Sizzix Bunny Games Thinlits Set verwendet, um meine Hasen, ein paar Eier und einige kleine G\u00e4nsebl\u00fcmchen zu schneiden. Ich habe alle Teile mit der Tintenschmiertechnik und vielen Farben koloriert. F\u00fcr die Hasen habe ich Vintage Photo Distress Tinte sowie Lost Shadow und Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide Tinten verwendet. F\u00fcr die gelben Eier habe ich Squeezed Lemonade und Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Tinte verwendet, f\u00fcr die Orangen Carved Pumpkin, f\u00fcr die Roten Lumberjack Plaid und f\u00fcr die Blauen Salvaged Patina. Meine kleinen G\u00e4nsebl\u00fcmchen sind mit Speckled Egg, Squeezed Lemonade und Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Tinten gef\u00e4rbt. Ich habe ein paar Eier als Ballons verwendet, aber ich brauchte einen Korb. Also habe ich mit dem Sizzix Potted #2 Bigz einen Blumentopf zugeschnitten und ihn dann etwas k\u00fcrzer gemacht, damit er eher wie ein Korb aussieht. Um ihn einzuf\u00e4rben, habe ich einfach die Distress Oxide Stempelkissen l\u00e4ngs dar\u00fcber gerieben, damit er aussieht, als w\u00e4re er aus Holzbrettern. Meine Farben sind Ground Espresso, Scorched Timber und Black Soot. Ich wei\u00df, mein Korb sieht eher aus wie ein Fass, aber es ist in Ordnung &#8230; Um die Fassreifen einzuf\u00e4rben, habe ich Mined Foundry Wax genommen. Ich habe gr\u00f6\u00dften Respekt vor Leuten, die mehrere Buchstabenschichten ausschneiden und dann zusammenf\u00fcgen k\u00f6nnen, aber mir fehlt die Geduld f\u00fcr sowas. Bastelschaum liefert die gew\u00fcnschte Dimension mit weniger Aufwand meinerseits! So gewinnt jeder! Wie auch immer, ich habe einen alten Rasierpinsel und etwas Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Tinte verwendet, um die Buchstaben leicht einzuf\u00e4rben. Diese Pinsel sind richtig weich und eignen sich perfekt f\u00fcr einen leichten Farbauftrag. Dann habe ich mit meinem Mischpinsel mehr von der gleichen Farbe aufgetragen, aber nur auf den unteren Teile der Buchstaben. Welcome back to another mixed media project. For today, I prepared my first Easter oriented project for this year! I had a lot of fun playing with some Tim Holtz products! Let\u2019s start with the materials I used: Materials\u00a0(If something is not in stock, please simply click on \u201cProduct reminder\u201d\/ \u201cProdukterinnerung\u201d) For this project, I worked in a journal book with watercolour paper, as I knew I was going to use a lot of water for the background. I started with the Echo Park Snowy Swirls stencil and Ranger Translucent Distress Texture Paste and I added the stencil design mostly on the upper part of my pages. Then, I added colour! I started with the lower part of the pages and I used Old Paper and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks. I smooshed my inks on a piece of acetate, sprayed the ink with water and then I smooshed the acetate on my pages. I started with the lighter colour and I made sure that everything was dry before I add another layer of colour. Then I moved to the upper part of the pages and here I used Stormy Sky and a little bit of Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Sprays. I sprayed my colours (one at a time), I sprayed with water, I let the colours run, I dabbed off the excess and then I dried the pages. I repeated this process until I liked the results. I wanted to add more texture to my project and I really like text details. So, I used the Stamperia Postcard stencil with Ranger Texture Crackle Paste to add a little bit of text detail on some spots on my project. I used Scorched Timber and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks to darken the edges of my pages, and the background was ready! Time to prepare my images! I used the Sizzix Bunny Games Thinlits set to cut my bunnies, a few eggs and some little daisies. I coloured all the pieces using the ink smooshing technique and a lot of colours. For the bunnies, I used Vintage Photo Distress ink and Lost Shadow and Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide inks. For the eggs, I used Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks for the yellows, Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink for the oranges, Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink for the reds and Salvaged Patina for the blues. My little daisies are coloured with Speckled Egg, Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks. I used a few eggs as ballons, but I needed a basket. So, I cut a flower pot, using the Sizzix Potted #2 Bigz, and then I modified it, making it a little shorter so it would look more like a basket.\u00a0 To coloured it, I simply rubbed the Distress Oxide ink pads on it, going towards one direction only, in order to make it look like it is made out of wood planks. My colours are Ground Espresso, Scorched Timber and Black Soot. To colour the binders of the basket I used Mined Foundry Wax. I haven&#8217;t used this colour before and I really like it! Foundry Wax is Magic! I also used a little Idea-Ology black Droplet from the Halloween set, to work as the nail keeping the basket together. I know, my basket looks more like a barrel, but it is fine&#8230; My sentiment is cut using the alphabet set from the Sizzix Santa Greetings Colorized Thinlits set. I cut the letters out of white cardstock and out of craft foam. I have the outmost respect for people who can cut several layers of letters and then put them together, but I do not have the patience to do it. Craft foam gives me the dimension I want with less work on my part! Everybody wins like that! Anyway, I used an old shaving brush and some Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink to slightly colour the letters. These brushes are really soft and they are perfect for a light application of colour. Then I used my blending brush to apply more of the same colour but only on the lower parts of the letters. My sentiment says &#8222;Sweet bunny wishes&#8220; and I do believe these bunnies are very sweet! I used my little daisies as embellishments and I spread them all over the project. Then I used the Scorched Timber Distress Oxide ink with a stiff painting brush, to add some shadows around my images and under the sentiment. And that was the project for today!
