Welcome back to another mixed media project. For today, I prepared a project loosely based on our Challenge theme, which is Spring. I had a lot of fun, using some of my favourite colours! I knew I was going to use wet mediums to colour, so I wanted to protect my page as much as possible! So, I started by covering my page with a nice layer of Gesso. Once the Gesso was dry, I used the Versamark Watermark ink pad with the big numbers-stamp from the Tim Holtz Perspective stamp set and I heat embossed some number details on the background, using Rangers Clear embossing powder. And because, as you know, I love my Crackle Paste, I added more texture on top of the embossed numbers, using the Ranger Texture Crackle Paste with the Crest Layering stencil by Tim Holtz. I left the Crackle Paste to dry and then it was time to add colour. I find that I really enjoy colouring with Distress Oxide ink sprays and that is what I did this time. I used the colours Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac and Stormy Sky. I sprayed with the inks, sprayed with water, I let the colours run and mix, dabbed off the excess and then I dried the page. I used the Stormy Sky Distress Oxide ink spray to splatter my background and then I dried it again. I wanted to add text details, so I used the text stamp from the Tim Holtz The Poinsettia stamp set with the Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink pad and I stamped the little text around the edges of the page. I have been waiting for these dies to arrive in the shop for some time now! So, I used the Sizzix Vault Wildflowers Thinlits set to cut some flowers and greeneries and then I coloured them with Distress Oxide ink. I used Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey for the centers of the daisies, Dusty Concord, Specked Egg and Salvaged Patina for the flowers and Cracked Pistachio for the greeneries. I cut a second group of flowers and greeneries, which I left white, and I attached the coloured pieces on top of them. I also cut a butterfly, using the Sizzix Vault Scribbly Butterfly Thinlits set. I only cut the top layer of the bigger butterfly and then I coloured it with Salvaged Patina, Dusty Concord and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide inks. I stamped it on a separate little panel of watercolour paper. It is stamped with Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink and heat embossed with Ranger Clear embossing powder. I used the Dusty Concord and Stormy Sky Distress Oxide ink sprays to colour the sentiment panel and make it look like the background. Then I used the Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink around the edges of this little panel. The sentiment says &#8218;Live your Dreams with passion&#8216;! Isn&#8217;t this a lovely notion? After I placed everything on my page, I thought that I would like to have something to pop a little from the background. I think we need some bright colour to fight against this strange weather we are having. We are supposed to be in the middle of Spring and the weather outside says Winter&#8230; At least we can make some paper flowers! Vault Scribbly Butterfly<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dieses Mal habe ich in einem Kunstjournal gearbeitet und wie immer mit dem Hintergrund begonnen. Ich wusste, dass ich zum F\u00e4rben nasse Medien verwenden w\u00fcrde, deshalb wollte ich meine Seite so gut wie m\u00f6glich sch\u00fctzen! Also habe ich damit begonnen, meine Seite mit einer sch\u00f6nen Schicht Gesso zu bedecken. Sobald das Gesso trocken war, habe ich das Versamark Watermark Stempelkissen mit dem gro\u00dfen Zahlenstempel aus dem Tim Holtz Perspective Stempelset verwendet und einige Zahlendetails mit Rangers Clear Pr\u00e4gepulver hei\u00df auf den Hintergrund gepr\u00e4gt. Und weil ich, wie ihr wisst, meine Crackle Paste sehr liebe, habe ich \u00fcber den gepr\u00e4gten Zahlen mehr Textur hinzugef\u00fcgt, indem ich die Ranger Texture Crackle Paste mit der Crest Layering Schablone von Tim Holtz verwendet habe. Ich habe die Crackle Paste trocknen lassen und dann war es Zeit, Farbe hinzuzuf\u00fcgen. Ich finde, dass mir das F\u00e4rben mit Distress Oxide Tintensprays wirklich Spa\u00df macht, und das habe ich dieses Mal getan. Ich habe die Farben Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac und Stormy Sky verwendet. Ich habe mit den Tinten gespr\u00fcht, mit Wasser gespr\u00fcht, ich habe die Farben verlaufen und sich vermischen lassen, den \u00dcberschuss abgetupft und dann habe ich die Seite getrocknet. Welcome back to another mixed media project. For today, I prepared a project loosely based on our Challenge theme, which is Spring. I had a lot of fun, using some of my favourite colours! Let\u2019s start with the materials I used: Materials\u00a0(If something is not in stock, please simply click on \u201cProduct reminder\u201d\/ \u201cProdukterinnerung\u201d) This time, I worked in an art journal and, as always, I started with the background. I knew I was going to use wet mediums to colour, so I wanted to protect my page as much as possible! So, I started by covering my page with a nice layer of Gesso. Once the Gesso was dry, I used the Versamark Watermark ink pad with the big numbers-stamp from the Tim Holtz Perspective stamp set and I heat embossed some number details on the background, using Rangers Clear embossing powder. And because, as you know, I love my Crackle Paste, I added more texture on top of the embossed numbers, using the Ranger Texture Crackle Paste with the Crest Layering stencil by Tim Holtz. I left the Crackle Paste to dry and then it was time to add colour. I find that I really enjoy colouring with Distress Oxide ink sprays and that is what I did this time. I used the colours Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac and Stormy Sky. I sprayed with the inks, sprayed with water, I let the colours run and mix, dabbed off the excess and then I dried the page. I used the Stormy Sky Distress Oxide ink spray to splatter my background and then I dried it again. I wanted to add text details, so I used the text stamp from the Tim Holtz The Poinsettia stamp set with the Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink pad and I stamped the little text around the edges of the page. I used the Dusty Concord and the Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink pads to darken the edges of my page, and the background was done! Time to prepare my images and, oh, how happy I was! I have been waiting for these dies to arrive in the shop for some time now! So, I used the Sizzix Vault Wildflowers Thinlits set to cut some flowers and greeneries and then I coloured them with Distress Oxide ink. I used Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey for the centers of the daisies, Dusty Concord, Specked Egg and Salvaged Patina for the flowers and Cracked Pistachio for the greeneries. I cut a second group of flowers and greeneries, which I left white, and I attached the coloured pieces on top of them. I also cut a butterfly, using the Sizzix Vault Scribbly Butterfly Thinlits set. I only cut the top layer of the bigger butterfly and then I coloured it with Salvaged Patina, Dusty Concord and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide inks. I splattered the butterfly with white and black inks and I left it to dry. My sentiment comes from the Tim Holtz Perspective stamp set. I stamped it on a separate little panel of watercolour paper. It is stamped with Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink and heat embossed with Ranger Clear embossing powder. I used the Dusty Concord and Stormy Sky Distress Oxide ink sprays to colour the sentiment panel and make it look like the background. Then I used the Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink around the edges of this little panel. The sentiment says &#8218;Live your Dreams with passion&#8216;! Isn&#8217;t this a lovely notion? After I placed everything on my page, I thought that I would like to have something to pop a little from the background. So, I used a Tombow black pen to trace around some of the heat embossed letters and make them stand out a little bit more. And that was the project for today! I think we need some bright colour to fight against this strange weather we are having. We are supposed to be in the middle of Spring and the weather outside says Winter&#8230; At least we can make some paper flowers!
