Welcome back to another mixed media project.\u00a0 For today, I prepared my first Halloween project for this year. I know, it is early, but I felt like it! I started by using a reverse ink smooshing technique, to add colour on the background. I used Brushed Corduroy, Ground Espresso and Scorched Timber Distress Oxide inks from the ink pads. I applied the ink on a piece of acetate, sprayed it with some water and then pressed it on my pages. I repeated this process multiple times with my brown colours, always drying my pages between the ink applications. After I liked what I had on the paper, I dried a last time and then covered everything with clear Gesso. That was tricky. The Distress Oxide inks are water reactive and they move with the Gesso, so I was trying to create as little disturbance to the colours as possible. I had to work fast and make my brush strokes light and always towards one direction. But it worked. I needed the Gesso layer in order to seal the colours (as much as possible) because I was going to add more ink on top. My next layer was the Black Marble Dylusions ink spray. I used the Echo Park Creepy Crawly Web stencil on the top left corner of my project and I sprayed through it with my black spray. I didn&#8217;t get a very good impression, but I had a lot of ink on the stencil. So, I lift the stencil and used it as a stamp on the bottom right side of the project. This stencil is no longer available, but there is a lovely Dylusions Webs stencil that could be used instead. I kept adding black ink and water on my pages and then dabbing off the excess and drying them until I liked the results. Then I added clear ink to my stencil, transferred it on the top left corner and I heat embossed the web design with WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder. I used the same embossing powder to emboss the design from these beautiful Scrollwork stamps from the Tim Holtz Foreboding stamp set. That was done on the right side of the project. For this project, some of my images are stamped and cut out and some are stamped directly on the background. So, I used VersaFine Onyx Black ink and some stamps from the Tim Holtz The Obscure stamp set to add some more interest on the background. You can see the round web thing and the Oct.31. stamps on the bottom left and top right parts of the project. I also used the text stamp from the same set, and stamped it all over the pages, and the bat design is stamped on the top right side. There is also one of the Scrollwork designs from the Tim Holtz Foreboding stamp set on the left side, half in and half out of the black area. I really love this background!!! As for the focal points, they come from the Tim Holtz Foreboding stamp set. I used the skull, the candle and the spider images. They are stamped on watercolour paper, with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with Ranger Black embossing powder. I used Distress Oxide inks as watercolours to colour my images and then I cut everything out. I have been cutting things like that for a long time. It is not my favourite thing to do, especially as my hands&#8216; condition is getting worse. But this time I used the new Tim Holtz Recoil Snips and, oh what an experience that was? I can not recommend them enough! They are amazing! Cutting is no work at all and I love it! So, I cut my images out and test where I wanted them on my pages. Then I added a little bit of Harvest Moon Distress Mica Stain Spray around the area where the candle flame would be and I dried it. This book contains little phrases from books, collected and turned into stickers, so one can use them to build sentiments. I have seen people using them to build entire stories and it is so cool! So, I chose a few stickers, added some brown ink on them to make them all match and then attached them on my project. All together, the sentiment says: &#8222;October 31. A wicked thing. A strange visitor. Then, suddenly, a strange thing happened. The grave-digger has arisen.&#8220; I tried to build a little story. I hope you like it! I had a lot of fun creating this Halloween scene. I find that Halloween is a time when we can let go of fear and create as we like, with all the things that would probably not be acceptable otherwise. For example, I do not like spiders, but I do not mind using them on Halloween projects. They do not look so dangerous like that. What do you think? I really hope you like today\u2019s project! Ich habe mit einer umgekehrten Tinten Smooshing Technik begonnen, um dem Hintergrund Farbe hinzuzuf\u00fcgen. Ich habe Brushed Corduroy , Ground Espresso und Scorched Timber Distress Oxide Tinten aus den Stempelkissen verwendet. Ich habe die Tinte auf ein St\u00fcck Acetat aufgetragen, es mit etwas Wasser bespr\u00fcht und es dann auf meine Seiten gedr\u00fcckt. Ich habe diesen Vorgang mehrmals mit meinen braunen Farben wiederholt und meine Seiten immer zwischen den Tintenauftr\u00e4gen trocknen lassen. Ich musste schnell arbeiten und meine Pinselstriche leicht und immer in die gleiche Richtung ausf\u00fchren. Aber es hat funktioniert. Ich brauchte die Gesso Schicht, um die Farben (so weit wie m\u00f6glich) zu versiegeln, da ich noch mehr Tinte darauf auftragen wollte. Meine n\u00e4chste Schicht war das Black Marble Dylusions Tintenspray. Ich habe die Echo Park Creepy Crawly Web Schablone in der oberen linken Ecke meines Projekts verwendet und mit meinem schwarzen Spray durchgespr\u00fcht. Ich habe keinen sehr guten Abdruck bekommen, aber ich hatte viel Tinte auf der Schablone. Also habe ich die Schablone angehoben und sie als Stempel auf der unteren rechten Seite des Projekts verwendet. Diese Schablone ist nicht mehr erh\u00e4ltlich, aber es gibt eine sch\u00f6ne Dylusions Webs Schablone, die man stattdessen verwenden k\u00f6nnte. Ich habe immer wieder schwarze Tinte und Wasser auf meine Seiten gegeben und dann den \u00dcberschuss abgetupft und sie getrocknet, bis mir das Ergebnis gefiel. Dann habe ich klare Tinte auf meine Schablone gegeben, sie auf die obere linke Ecke \u00fcbertragen und das Webdesign mit WOW! Opaque Bright White Pr\u00e4gepulver hei\u00dfgepr\u00e4gt. Ich habe dasselbe Pr\u00e4gepulver verwendet, um das Design dieser wundersch\u00f6nen Scrollwork Stempel aus dem Tim Holtz Foreboding Stempelset zu pr\u00e4gen, auf der rechten Seite des Projekts. F\u00fcr dieses Projekt sind einige meiner Bilder gestempelt und ausgeschnitten und einige sind direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt. Ich habe VersaFine Onyx Black Tinte und einige Stempel aus dem Tim Holtz The Obscure Stempelset verwendet, um den Hintergrund interessanter zu gestalten. Ihr k\u00f6nnt das runde Netz und die Okt.31 Stempel unten links und oben rechts im Projekt sehen. Ich habe auch den Textstempel aus demselben Set verwendet und ihn \u00fcber die gesamten Seiten gestempelt, und das Fledermausdesign ist oben rechts gestempelt. Auf der linken Seite befindet sich auch eines der Scrollwork Designs aus dem Tim Holtz Foreboding Stempelset, halb im und halb au\u00dferhalb des schwarzen Bereichs. Ich liebe diesen Hintergrund!!! Was die Brennpunkte betrifft, stammen sie aus dem Tim Holtz Foreboding Stempelset. Ich habe den Totenkopf, die Kerze und die Spinnenbilder verwendet. Sie sind mit VersaFine Onyx Black Tinte auf Aquarellpapier gestempelt und mit Ranger Black Pr\u00e4gepulver hei\u00dfgepr\u00e4gt. Ich habe Distress Oxide Tinten als Wasserfarben verwendet, um meine Bilder auszumalen, und dann habe ich alles ausgeschnitten. Ich schneide schon lange auf diese Weise Dinge aus. Es ist nicht meine Lieblingsbesch\u00e4ftigung, vor allem, weil der Zustand meiner H\u00e4nde immer schlechter wird. Welcome back to another mixed media project.\u00a0 For today, I prepared my first Halloween project for this year. I know, it is early, but I felt like it! Let\u2019s start with the materials I used: Materials\u00a0(If something is not in stock, please simply click on \u201cProduct reminder\u201d\/ \u201cProdukterinnerung\u201d) For this project, I worked in a journal with watercolour paper, as I was going to use a lot of wet mediums. I started by using a reverse ink smooshing technique, to add colour on the background. I used Brushed Corduroy, Ground Espresso and Scorched Timber Distress Oxide inks from the ink pads. I applied the ink on a piece of acetate, sprayed it with some water and then pressed it on my pages. I repeated this process multiple times with my brown colours, always drying my pages between the ink applications. After I liked what I had on the paper, I dried a last time and then covered everything with clear Gesso. That was tricky. The Distress Oxide inks are water reactive and they move with the Gesso, so I was trying to create as little disturbance to the colours as possible. I had to work fast and make my brush strokes light and always towards one direction. But it worked. I needed the Gesso layer in order to seal the colours (as much as possible) because I was going to add more ink on top. My next layer was the Black Marble Dylusions ink spray. I used the Echo Park Creepy Crawly Web stencil on the top left corner of my project and I sprayed through it with my black spray. I didn&#8217;t get a very good impression, but I had a lot of ink on the stencil. So, I lift the stencil and used it as a stamp on the bottom right side of the project. This stencil is no longer available, but there is a lovely Dylusions Webs stencil that could be used instead. I kept adding black ink and water on my pages and then dabbing off the excess and drying them until I liked the results. Then I added clear ink to my stencil, transferred it on the top left corner and I heat embossed the web design with WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder. I used the same embossing powder to emboss the design from these beautiful Scrollwork stamps from the Tim Holtz Foreboding stamp set. That was done on the right side of the project. I added some Unravelled Distress Mica Stain Spray around my spider web, dried it and the background was mostly done. Time to prepare my images. For this project, some of my images are stamped and cut out and some are stamped directly on the background. So, I used VersaFine Onyx Black ink and some stamps from the Tim Holtz The Obscure stamp set to add some more interest on the background. You can see the round web thing and the Oct.31. stamps on the bottom left and top right parts of the project. I also used the text stamp from the same set, and stamped it all over the pages, and the bat design is stamped on the top right side. There is also one of the Scrollwork designs from the Tim Holtz Foreboding stamp set on the left side, half in and half out of the black area. I really love this background!!! As for the focal points, they come from the Tim Holtz Foreboding stamp set. I used the skull, the candle and the spider images. They are stamped on watercolour paper, with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with Ranger Black embossing powder. I used Distress Oxide inks as watercolours to colour my images and then I cut everything out. I have been cutting things like that for a long time. It is not my favourite thing to do, especially as my hands&#8216; condition is getting worse. But this time I used the new Tim Holtz Recoil Snips and, oh what an experience that was? I can not recommend them enough! They are amazing! Cutting is no work at all and I love it! So, I cut my images out and test where I wanted them on my pages. Then I added a little bit of Harvest Moon Distress Mica Stain Spray around the area where the candle flame would be and I dried it. I added my images on the project and added some shadows around them with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink and a stiff brush. My sentiment comes from the Idea-Ology Curiosities Sticker Book. This book contains little phrases from books, collected and turned into stickers, so one can use them to build sentiments. I have seen people using them to build entire stories and it is so cool! So, I chose a few stickers, added some brown ink on them to make them all match and then attached them on my project. All together, the sentiment says: &#8222;October 31. A wicked thing. A strange visitor. Then, suddenly, a strange thing happened. The grave-digger has arisen.&#8220; I tried to build a little story. I hope you like it! I used a black pen all around the stickers, to create something like a shadow, and a white pen on two sides of every sticker, to make them stand out a little more. And that was the project for today! I had a lot of fun creating this Halloween scene. I find that Halloween is a time when we can let go of fear and create as we like, with all the things that would probably not be acceptable otherwise. Nachdem mir das Ergebnis auf dem Papier gefiel, habe ich es ein letztes Mal trocknen lassen und dann alles mit klarem Gesso bedeckt. Das war knifflig. Die Distress Oxide Tinten reagieren mit Wasser und bewegen sich mit dem Gesso, also habe ich versucht, die Farben so wenig wie m\u00f6glich zu st\u00f6ren. Ich musste schnell arbeiten und meine Pinselstriche leicht und immer in die gleiche Richtung ausf\u00fchren. Aber es hat funktioniert. Ich brauchte die Gesso Schicht, um die Farben (so weit wie m\u00f6glich) zu versiegeln, da ich noch mehr Tinte darauf auftragen wollte. Meine n\u00e4chste Schicht war das Black Marble Dylusions Tintenspray. Ich habe die Echo Park Creepy Crawly Web Schablone in der oberen linken Ecke meines Projekts verwendet und mit meinem schwarzen Spray durchgespr\u00fcht. Ich habe keinen sehr guten Abdruck bekommen, aber ich hatte viel Tinte auf der Schablone. Also habe ich die Schablone angehoben und sie als Stempel auf der unteren rechten Seite des Projekts verwendet. Diese Schablone ist nicht mehr erh\u00e4ltlich, aber es gibt eine sch\u00f6ne Dylusions Webs Schablone, die man stattdessen verwenden k\u00f6nnte. Ich habe immer wieder schwarze Tinte und Wasser auf meine Seiten gegeben und dann den \u00dcberschuss abgetupft und sie getrocknet, bis mir das Ergebnis gefiel. Dann habe ich klare Tinte auf meine Schablone gegeben, sie auf die obere linke Ecke \u00fcbertragen und das Webdesign mit WOW! Opaque Bright White Pr\u00e4gepulver hei\u00dfgepr\u00e4gt. Ich habe dasselbe Pr\u00e4gepulver verwendet, um das Design dieser wundersch\u00f6nen Scrollwork Stempel aus dem Tim Holtz Foreboding Stempelset zu pr\u00e4gen, auf der rechten Seite des Projekts. Ich habe etwas Unravelled Distress Mica Stain Spray um mein Spinnennetz herum aufgetragen, es getrocknet und der Hintergrund war gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils fertig. Zeit, meine Bilder vorzubereiten. F\u00fcr dieses Projekt sind einige meiner Bilder gestempelt und ausgeschnitten und einige sind direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt. Ich habe VersaFine Onyx Black Tinte und einige Stempel aus dem Tim Holtz The Obscure Stempelset verwendet, um den Hintergrund interessanter zu gestalten. Ihr k\u00f6nnt das runde Netz und die Okt.31 Stempel unten links und oben rechts im Projekt sehen. Ich habe auch den Textstempel aus demselben Set verwendet und ihn \u00fcber die gesamten Seiten gestempelt, und das Fledermausdesign ist oben rechts gestempelt. Auf der linken Seite befindet sich auch eines der Scrollwork Designs aus dem Tim Holtz Foreboding Stempelset, halb im und halb au\u00dferhalb des schwarzen Bereichs. Ich liebe diesen Hintergrund!!! Was die Brennpunkte betrifft, stammen sie aus dem Tim Holtz Foreboding Stempelset. Ich habe den Totenkopf, die Kerze und die Spinnenbilder verwendet. Sie sind mit VersaFine Onyx Black Tinte auf Aquarellpapier gestempelt und mit Ranger Black Pr\u00e4gepulver hei\u00dfgepr\u00e4gt. Ich habe Distress Oxide Tinten als Wasserfarben verwendet, um meine Bilder auszumalen, und dann habe ich alles ausgeschnitten. Ich schneide schon lange auf diese Weise Dinge aus. Es ist nicht meine Lieblingsbesch\u00e4ftigung, vor allem, weil der Zustand meiner H\u00e4nde immer schlechter wird. Aber dieses Mal habe ich die neuen Recoil Snips von Tim Holtz verwendet, und, oh, was war das f\u00fcr ein Erlebnis! Ich kann sie nur w\u00e4rmstens empfehlen! Sie sind fantastisch! Schneiden ist \u00fcberhaupt keine Arbeit und ich liebe es! Also habe ich meine Bilder ausgeschnitten und getestet, wo ich sie auf meinen Seiten haben wollte. Dann habe ich ein wenig Harvest Moon Distress Mica Stain Spray um den Bereich gegeben, wo die Kerzenflamme sein sollte, und es getrocknet. Ich habe meine Bilder dem Projekt hinzugef\u00fcgt und mit Black Soot Distress Oxide Tinte und einem steifen Pinsel einige Schatten darum hinzugef\u00fcgt. Mein Spruch stammt aus dem Idea-Ology Curiosities Sticker Book. Dieses Buch enth\u00e4lt kleine S\u00e4tze aus B\u00fcchern, die gesammelt und in Aufkleber verwandelt wurden, sodass man sie verwenden kann, um Gef\u00fchle zu bilden. Ich habe Leute gesehen, die sie verwendet haben, um ganze Geschichten zu konstruieren, und es ist so cool! Also habe ich ein paar Aufkleber ausgew\u00e4hlt, etwas braune Tinte darauf aufgetragen, damit sie alle zusammenpassen, und sie dann an meinem Projekt befestigt. Insgesamt lautet der Spruch: \u201e31. Oktober. Eine b\u00f6se Sache. Ein seltsamer Besucher. Dann ist pl\u00f6tzlich etwas Seltsames passiert. Der Totengr\u00e4ber ist aufgetaucht.\u201c Ich habe versucht, eine kleine Geschichte zu konstruieren. Ich hoffe, es gef\u00e4llt euch! Ich habe rund um die Aufkleber einen schwarzen Stift verwendet, um so etwas wie einen Schatten zu erzeugen, und auf zwei Seiten jedes Aufklebers einen wei\u00dfen Stift, damit sie etwas mehr hervorstechen. Und das war das Projekt f\u00fcr heute! Ich hatte viel Spa\u00df beim Erstellen dieser Halloween Szene. Ich finde, dass Halloween eine Zeit ist, in der wir die Angst loslassen und nach Lust und Laune gestalten k\u00f6nnen, mit all den Dingen, die sonst wahrscheinlich nicht akzeptabel w\u00e4ren. Ich mag zum Beispiel keine Spinnen, aber ich habe nichts dagegen, sie f\u00fcr Halloween Projekte zu verwenden. So sehen sie nicht so gef\u00e4hrlich aus. Was denkt ihr?
