After the Gesso was dry, I gave the Tag a good layer of Ranger Texture Crackle Paste, just to add some texture on my background! \u00a0I wanted to create some rust around the edges of the Tag. So I applied some Distress Translucent Grit Paste wherever I wanted the rust to be, and I made sure not to smooth it out. I left the paste to dry and then I added colour to it, using Distress Paints and Distress Crayons. I started with Walnut Stain Distress Paint and then I added some Crackling Campfire and Antique Bronze. I kept adding the colours, going back and forth. I think I even brought some red into the mix, by adding some Candied Apple Distress Paint. I stamped the big poinsettia on tissue paper, with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, and I coloured it with the Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. I could have used Distress Crayons to colour my flower, or Distress Pencils. If I have thought about it better, I would have glued it on the Tag and I would have coloured it afterwards, with the Distress Paints. But I wanted to try the pencils. So, I coloured the poinsettia, I roughly cut the edges of the tissue paper and I glued the flower on the Tag, using Multi Medium Matte. As you can see, the flower does not exactly fit on the place where I wanted it to be and that is perfectly fine. I used a part of it on the top part of the Tag, to create the illusion of more flowers, so it worked really nice. I dried the Multi Medium and then I stamped the music sheet pattern from the same stamp set, with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I stamped both on the white area and on the flowers. Then I added a little bit of Salvaged Patina Distress Paint all around the edges of the rusted areas. I wanted this last layer of paint on top of everything else, both rust and images, so everything will bind together. It is stamped on white cardstock, with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink and heat embossed with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Embossing Glaze. I added some diluted Salvaged Patina Distress Paint all around the sentiment, to bind it to the rest of the project, and then I cut it out. I treated the edges of my sentiment piece with Fallen Acorn Distress Crayon and then I placed it on my Tag. Nachdem das Gesso getrocknet war, habe ich den Tag eine gute Schicht Ranger Texture Crackle Paste aufgetragen, um meinem Hintergrund etwas Struktur zu verleihen! Ich wollte an den R\u00e4ndern des Tags etwas Rost erzeugen. Also habe ich etwas Distress Translucent Grit Paste dort aufgetragen, wo ich Rost haben wollte, und habe darauf geachtet, es nicht zu gl\u00e4tten. Ich habe die Paste trocknen lassen und dann mit Distress Paints und Distress Crayons Farbe hinzugef\u00fcgt. Ich habe mit Walnut Stain Distress Paint begonnen und dann etwas Crackling Campfire und Antique Bronze hinzugef\u00fcgt. Ich habe immer wieder Farben hinzugef\u00fcgt, hin und her. Ich glaube, ich habe sogar etwas Rot in die Mischung gebracht, indem ich etwas Candied Apple Distress Paint verwendet habe. Ich habe den gro\u00dfen Weihnachtsstern mit VersaFine Onyx Black Tinte auf Seidenpapier gestempelt und ihn mit den Faber-Castell Polychromos Stiften ausgemalt. Ich h\u00e4tte zum Ausmalen meiner Blume auch Distress Crayons oder Distress Pencils verwenden k\u00f6nnen. Wenn ich besser dar\u00fcber nachgedacht h\u00e4tte, h\u00e4tte ich ihn auf das Etikett geklebt und ihn anschlie\u00dfend mit den Distress Paints ausgemalt. Aber ich wollte die Stifte ausprobieren. Also habe ich den Weihnachtsstern ausgemalt, die Kanten des Seidenpapiers grob zugeschnitten und die Blume mit Multi Medium Matte auf das Etikett geklebt. Wie ihr seht, passt die Blume nicht genau an die Stelle, an der ich sie haben wollte, und das ist v\u00f6llig in Ordnung. Ich habe einen Teil davon auf den oberen Teil des Etiketts aufgetragen, um die Illusion von mehr Blumen zu erzeugen, was wirklich gut funktioniert hat. Ich habe das Multi Medium getrocknet und dann das Notenblattmuster aus demselben Stempelset mit VersaFine Onyx Black Tinte gestempelt. Ich habe sowohl auf den wei\u00dfen Bereich als auch auf die Blumen gestempelt. Welcome back to another mixed media project. This is my last post for September, so I decided to prepare a Christmas project. Let\u2019s start with the materials I used: Materials\u00a0(If something is not in stock, please simply click on \u201cProduct reminder\u201d\/ \u201cProdukterinnerung\u201d) So, for this project, I worked on an Etcetera Thickboard Tag and I started by adding a good layer of Gesso on it. After the Gesso was dry, I gave the Tag a good layer of Ranger Texture Crackle Paste, just to add some texture on my background! \u00a0I wanted to create some rust around the edges of the Tag. So I applied some Distress Translucent Grit Paste wherever I wanted the rust to be, and I made sure not to smooth it out. I left the paste to dry and then I added colour to it, using Distress Paints and Distress Crayons. I started with Walnut Stain Distress Paint and then I added some Crackling Campfire and Antique Bronze. I kept adding the colours, going back and forth. I think I even brought some red into the mix, by adding some Candied Apple Distress Paint. After the paint was dry, I added a little bit of Mulled Cider and Unravelled Distress Crayons on top of it, to add a little bit of spark. My images come from the Tim Holtz The Poinsettia (CMS 426) stamp set. I stamped the big poinsettia on tissue paper, with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, and I coloured it with the Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. I could have used Distress Crayons to colour my flower, or Distress Pencils. If I have thought about it better, I would have glued it on the Tag and I would have coloured it afterwards, with the Distress Paints. But I wanted to try the pencils. So, I coloured the poinsettia, I roughly cut the edges of the tissue paper and I glued the flower on the Tag, using Multi Medium Matte. As you can see, the flower does not exactly fit on the place where I wanted it to be and that is perfectly fine. I used a part of it on the top part of the Tag, to create the illusion of more flowers, so it worked really nice. I dried the Multi Medium and then I stamped the music sheet pattern from the same stamp set, with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I stamped both on the white area and on the flowers. Then I added a little bit of Salvaged Patina Distress Paint all around the edges of the rusted areas. I wanted this last layer of paint on top of everything else, both rust and images, so everything will bind together. I also added some very diluted Salvaged Patina Distress Paint all over the white areas. My sentiment also comes from the Tim Holtz The Poinsettia stamp set. It is stamped on white cardstock, with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink and heat embossed with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Embossing Glaze. I added some diluted Salvaged Patina Distress Paint all around the sentiment, to bind it to the rest of the project, and then I cut it out. I treated the edges of my sentiment piece with Fallen Acorn Distress Crayon and then I placed it on my Tag. In the end, I added some red Idea-Ology Droplets from the Christmas pack.
