Merry Christmas! Welcome back to another mixed media project. For today, I prepared a festive Art Journal project. We are now between Christmas and New Year so I just combined the two! I was really eager to get started and I forgot to use Gesso on my pages, but that is ok. I didn&#8217;t saturate the pages and the paper could handle it. It is important to always choose the right paper to work with! So, I started by adding colour on the pages, using Distress Oxide inks in colours Vintage Photo and Candied Apple. I kept the brown on the corners and I used the red mostly on the middle. I added just a little bit of water, to help the colours spread, but made sure not to thin them too much. I dried the pages and then I splattered everything with clear water and dabbed it. The water helped me lift some of the colour, creating some nice texture. Next, I added some visual texture, using the music sheet stamp from the &#8222;The Poinsettia&#8220; stamp set by Tim Holtz with VersaFine Clair Acorn ink. If you know me, you know what comes next. It is time to use some Paste. So, for this time, I chose a product I haven&#8217;t used before. This is the Nuvo Glacier Paste, in the colour Haute Red. I used this Paste with the Argyle Layering stencil and I mainly applied it on the corners of my pages. I am surprised on how flat this Paste looks when it dries. It is a very interesting product! I left the Paste to dry and then I splattered the pages with Antique Linen Distress Spritz. As I said before, this is a project that combines Christmas and New Year. So, I needed to have the number one on the project. I used the &#8222;Paint by Numbers&#8220; stamp set by Tim Holtz and I heat embossed the number 1 on green cardstock, with Ranger Gold Tinsel embossing powder. I did that twice and then I cut the numbers out. The rest of my images come from Idea-Ology ephemera and paper doll packages. I used the girl paper doll, the bell, the holly and the mistletoe pieces from the Idea-Ology Layers+Paper Dolls Christmas 2023 package. The frame, the candy cane and the ruler as well as the word cards come from the Idea-Ology Ephemera Christmas 2023 package. I wrinkled the word cards, darkened them with a bit of Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and then I attached them on the top of the right page, using one of the Idea-Ology Long Fasteners. I also used four of the new Idea-Ology Screw Heads on the four corners of the frame surrounding the girl paper doll. As you can see, I used older Idea-Ology packages for this project. I did that because I still have a lot of them and they are still available in the shop. Also, the pieces in them are not that much different from the newer packages. This set is unfortunately no longer available in the shop, but there are many Sizzix sets with alphabet dies you could choose from. I cut my letters out of the Idea-Ology Kraft-Stock Christmas. I love this paper! It looks like glitter paper but it has no glitter on it! It is just printed like this! It creates no mess and it cuts beautifully! So, I cut my letters and then I used a black marker to darken the edges of them, because I could see the brown Kraftstock on them. Before I attach the sentiment on the left page, I added a little stripe of washi tape on the page. This is not a real washi tape, it is a sticker from the Idea-Ology Christmas 2024 Sticker Book. Tim Holtz started adding these little stripes in his sticker books after he retired the washi tapes. Anyway, I added the sentiment on top of that stripe. The sentiment says: &#8222;Happy 2025&#8220; because this couldn&#8217;t be a New Year project without a New Year&#8217;s wish! There is a second phrase on this project, on the other side. It comes from my ephemera pack and it says: &#8222;Special Delivery&#8220; because every new year is a special delivery! Ich konnte es kaum erwarten, loszulegen, und habe vergessen, Gesso auf meinen Seiten zu verwenden, aber das ist ok. Ich habe die Seiten nicht ges\u00e4ttigt und das Papier hat das ausgehalten. Es ist wichtig, immer das richtige Papier zum Arbeiten auszuw\u00e4hlen! Also habe ich angefangen, Farbe auf die Seiten zu bringen, Distress Oxide Tinten in den Farben Vintage Photo und Candied Apple. Das Braun habe ich an den Ecken gelassen und das Rot haupts\u00e4chlich in der Mitte verwendet. Ich habe nur ein wenig Wasser hinzugef\u00fcgt, damit sich die Farben besser verteilen, habe aber darauf geachtet, sie sich nicht zu stark verd\u00fcnnen. Ich habe die Seiten getrocknet und dann alles mit klarem Wasser bespritzt und abgetupft. Das Wasser hat mir geholfen, etwas von der Farbe entfernen, wodurch eine sch\u00f6ne Textur entstand. Als N\u00e4chstes habe ich eine visuelle Textur hinzugef\u00fcgt, indem ich den Notenblattstempel aus dem Stempelset \u201eThe Poinsettia\u201c von Tim Holtz mit VersaFine Clair Acorn Tinte verwendet habe. Wenn ihr mich kennt, wisst ihr, was als N\u00e4chstes kommt. Es ist Zeit, eine Paste zu verwenden. Dieses Mal habe ich ein Produkt gew\u00e4hlt, das ich noch nie zuvor verwendet habe. Das ist die Nuvo Glacier Paste in der Farbe Haute Red. Ich habe diese Paste mit der Argyle Layering Schablone verwendet und sie haupts\u00e4chlich auf die Ecken meiner Seiten aufgetragen. Ich bin \u00fcberrascht, wie flach diese Paste aussieht, wenn sie trocknet. Es ist ein sehr interessantes Produkt! Ich habe die Paste trocknen lassen und dann die Seiten mit Antique Linen Distress Spritz bespritzt. Wie ich bereits gesagt habe, dieses Projekt kombiniert Weihnachten und Neujahr. Also brauche ich die Nummer eins im Projekt. Ich habe das Stempelset \u201ePaint by Numbers\u201c von Tim Holtz verwendet und die &#8222;1&#8220; mit Ranger Gold Tinsel Pr\u00e4gepulver auf gr\u00fcnem Karton hei\u00dfgepr\u00e4gt. Das habe ich zweimal gemacht und dann die Zahlen ausgeschnitten. Der Rest meiner Bilder stammt aus Idea-Ology Ephemera und Paper Dolls Paketen. Ich habe die M\u00e4dchen-Papierpuppe, die Glocke, die Stechpalme und die Mistelzweigst\u00fccke aus dem Idea-Ology Layers + Paper Dolls Christmas 2023 Paket verwendet. Der Rahmen, die Zuckerstange und das Lineal sowie die Wortkarten stammen aus dem Idea-Ology Ephemera Christmas 2023 Paket. Ich habe die Wortkarten zerknittert, sie mit etwas Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Tinte abgedunkelt und sie dann oben auf der rechten Seite mit einem der Idea-Ology Long Fasteners befestigt. Ich habe auch vier der neuen Idea-Ology Screw Heads an den vier Ecken des Rahmens verwendet, der die Papierpuppe umgibt. Wie ihr seht, habe ich f\u00fcr dieses Projekt \u00e4ltere Idea-Ology Pakete verwendet. Das habe ich getan, weil ich noch viele davon habe und sie noch im Shop erh\u00e4ltlich sind. Au\u00dferdem unterscheiden sich ihr Inhalt nicht so sehr von den neueren Paketen. Dieses Set ist leider nicht mehr im Shop erh\u00e4ltlich, aber es gibt viele Sizzix Sets mit Alphabet Stanzen, aus denen ihr w\u00e4hlen k\u00f6nnt. Ich habe meine Buchstaben aus dem Idea-Ology Christmas Kraft-Stock ausgeschnitten. Ich liebe dieses Papier! Es sieht aus wie Glitzerpapier, hat aber keinen Glitzer darauf! Es ist einfach so bedruckt! Es macht keine Unordnung und l\u00e4sst sich wunderbar schneiden! Also habe ich meine Buchstaben ausgeschnitten und dann mit einem schwarzen Marker die R\u00e4nder abgedunkelt, weil ich das braune Kraftpapier darauf sehen konnte. Bevor ich den Spruch auf der linken Seite anbringe, habe ich einen kleinen Streifen Washi-Tape auf der Seite angebracht. Es ist kein echtes Washi-Tape, sondern ein Aufkleber aus dem Idea-Ology Christmas 2024 Sticker Book. Tim Holtz begann, diese kleinen Streifen in seine Stickerb\u00fccher einzuf\u00fcgen, nachdem er alle Washi-Tapes aus seinem Sortiment genommen hatte. Wie auch immer, ich habe den Spruch \u00fcber diesen Streifen geklebt. Der Spruch lautet: \u201eFrohes 2025\u201c, denn dies w\u00e4re kein Neujahrsprojekt ohne Neujahrswunsch! Welcome back to another mixed media project. For today, I prepared a festive Art Journal project. We are now between Christmas and New Year so I just combined the two! Let\u2019s start with the materials I used: Materials\u00a0(If something is not in stock, please simply click on \u201cProduct reminder\u201d\/ \u201cProdukterinnerung\u201d) For this project, I worked in a journal with watercolour paper, because I knew I was going to use wet mediums. I was really eager to get started and I forgot to use Gesso on my pages, but that is ok. I didn&#8217;t saturate the pages and the paper could handle it. It is important to always choose the right paper to work with! So, I started by adding colour on the pages, using Distress Oxide inks in colours Vintage Photo and Candied Apple. I kept the brown on the corners and I used the red mostly on the middle. I added just a little bit of water, to help the colours spread, but made sure not to thin them too much. I dried the pages and then I splattered everything with clear water and dabbed it. The water helped me lift some of the colour, creating some nice texture. Next, I added some visual texture, using the music sheet stamp from the &#8222;The Poinsettia&#8220; stamp set by Tim Holtz with VersaFine Clair Acorn ink. If you know me, you know what comes next. It is time to use some Paste. So, for this time, I chose a product I haven&#8217;t used before. This is the Nuvo Glacier Paste, in the colour Haute Red. I used this Paste with the Argyle Layering stencil and I mainly applied it on the corners of my pages. I am surprised on how flat this Paste looks when it dries. It is a very interesting product! I left the Paste to dry and then I splattered the pages with Antique Linen Distress Spritz. I dried the Spritz, I darkened the edges of my pages with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink, and the background was done! Time to prepare my images. As I said before, this is a project that combines Christmas and New Year. So, I needed to have the number one on the project. I used the &#8222;Paint by Numbers&#8220; stamp set by Tim Holtz and I heat embossed the number 1 on green cardstock, with Ranger Gold Tinsel embossing powder. I did that twice and then I cut the numbers out. The rest of my images come from Idea-Ology ephemera and paper doll packages. I used the girl paper doll, the bell, the holly and the mistletoe pieces from the Idea-Ology Layers+Paper Dolls Christmas 2023 package. The frame, the candy cane and the ruler as well as the word cards come from the Idea-Ology Ephemera Christmas 2023 package. I wrinkled the word cards, darkened them with a bit of Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and then I attached them on the top of the right page, using one of the Idea-Ology Long Fasteners. I also used four of the new Idea-Ology Screw Heads on the four corners of the frame surrounding the girl paper doll. As you can see, I used older Idea-Ology packages for this project. I did that because I still have a lot of them and they are still available in the shop. Also, the pieces in them are not that much different from the newer packages. So, you can use what you have or even combine everything! My sentiment is cut with the alphabet set from the new Sizzix Letterboard Sidekick Side-Order Thinlits\/Texture Fades. This set is unfortunately no longer available in the shop, but there are many Sizzix sets with alphabet dies you could choose from. I cut my letters out of the Idea-Ology Kraft-Stock Christmas. I love this paper! It looks like glitter paper but it has no glitter on it! It is just printed like this! It creates no mess and it cuts beautifully! So, I cut my letters and then I used a black marker to darken the edges of them, because I could see the brown Kraftstock on them. Before I attach the sentiment on the left page, I added a little stripe of washi tape on the page. This is not a real washi tape, it is a sticker from the Idea-Ology Christmas 2024 Sticker Book. Tim Holtz started adding these little stripes in his sticker books after he retired the washi tapes. Anyway, I added the sentiment on top of that stripe. The sentiment says: &#8222;Happy 2025&#8220; because this couldn&#8217;t be a New Year project without a New Year&#8217;s wish! There is a second phrase on this project, on the other side. It comes from my ephemera pack and it says: &#8222;Special Delivery&#8220; because every new year is a special delivery! As a last little bit of embellishment, I added a few of the Idea-Ology Mirrored Stars on my pages. And that was the project for today! Ich konnte es kaum erwarten, loszulegen, und habe vergessen, Gesso auf meinen Seiten zu verwenden, aber das ist ok. Ich habe die Seiten nicht ges\u00e4ttigt und das Papier hat das ausgehalten. Es ist wichtig, immer das richtige Papier zum Arbeiten auszuw\u00e4hlen! Also habe ich angefangen, Farbe auf die Seiten zu bringen, Distress Oxide Tinten in den Farben Vintage Photo und Candied Apple. Das Braun habe ich an den Ecken gelassen und das Rot haupts\u00e4chlich in der Mitte verwendet. Ich habe nur ein wenig Wasser hinzugef\u00fcgt, damit sich die Farben besser verteilen, habe aber darauf geachtet, sie sich nicht zu stark verd\u00fcnnen. Ich habe die Seiten getrocknet und dann alles mit klarem Wasser bespritzt und abgetupft. Das Wasser hat mir geholfen, etwas von der Farbe entfernen, wodurch eine sch\u00f6ne Textur entstand. Als N\u00e4chstes habe ich eine visuelle Textur hinzugef\u00fcgt, indem ich den Notenblattstempel aus dem Stempelset \u201eThe Poinsettia\u201c von Tim Holtz mit VersaFine Clair Acorn Tinte verwendet habe. Wenn ihr mich kennt, wisst ihr, was als N\u00e4chstes kommt. Es ist Zeit, eine Paste zu verwenden. Dieses Mal habe ich ein Produkt gew\u00e4hlt, das ich noch nie zuvor verwendet habe. Das ist die Nuvo Glacier Paste in der Farbe Haute Red. Ich habe diese Paste mit der Argyle Layering Schablone verwendet und sie haupts\u00e4chlich auf die Ecken meiner Seiten aufgetragen. Ich bin \u00fcberrascht, wie flach diese Paste aussieht, wenn sie trocknet. Es ist ein sehr interessantes Produkt! Ich habe die Paste trocknen lassen und dann die Seiten mit Antique Linen Distress Spritz bespritzt. Ich habe das Spritz getrocknet, die Kanten meiner Seiten mit Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Tinte verdunkelt und der Hintergrund war fertig! Zeit, meine Bilder vorzubereiten. Wie ich bereits gesagt habe, dieses Projekt kombiniert Weihnachten und Neujahr. Also brauche ich die Nummer eins im Projekt. Ich habe das Stempelset \u201ePaint by Numbers\u201c von Tim Holtz verwendet und die &#8222;1&#8220; mit Ranger Gold Tinsel Pr\u00e4gepulver auf gr\u00fcnem Karton hei\u00dfgepr\u00e4gt. Das habe ich zweimal gemacht und dann die Zahlen ausgeschnitten. Der Rest meiner Bilder stammt aus Idea-Ology Ephemera und Paper Dolls Paketen. Ich habe die M\u00e4dchen-Papierpuppe, die Glocke, die Stechpalme und die Mistelzweigst\u00fccke aus dem Idea-Ology Layers + Paper Dolls Christmas 2023 Paket verwendet. Der Rahmen, die Zuckerstange und das Lineal sowie die Wortkarten stammen aus dem Idea-Ology Ephemera Christmas 2023 Paket. Ich habe die Wortkarten zerknittert, sie mit etwas Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Tinte abgedunkelt und sie dann oben auf der rechten Seite mit einem der Idea-Ology Long Fasteners befestigt. Ich habe auch vier der neuen Idea-Ology Screw Heads an den vier Ecken des Rahmens verwendet, der die Papierpuppe umgibt. Wie ihr seht, habe ich f\u00fcr dieses Projekt \u00e4ltere Idea-Ology Pakete verwendet. Das habe ich getan, weil ich noch viele davon habe und sie noch im Shop erh\u00e4ltlich sind. Au\u00dferdem unterscheiden sich ihr Inhalt nicht so sehr von den neueren Paketen. Ihr k\u00f6nnt also verwenden, was ihr habt, oder sogar alles kombinieren! Mein Spruch ist mit dem Alphabet Set aus den neuen Sizzix Letterboard Sidekick Side-Order Thinlits\/Texture Fades ausgeschnitten. Dieses Set ist leider nicht mehr im Shop erh\u00e4ltlich, aber es gibt viele Sizzix Sets mit Alphabet Stanzen, aus denen ihr w\u00e4hlen k\u00f6nnt. Ich habe meine Buchstaben aus dem Idea-Ology Christmas Kraft-Stock ausgeschnitten. Ich liebe dieses Papier! Es sieht aus wie Glitzerpapier, hat aber keinen Glitzer darauf! Es ist einfach so bedruckt! Es macht keine Unordnung und l\u00e4sst sich wunderbar schneiden! Also habe ich meine Buchstaben ausgeschnitten und dann mit einem schwarzen Marker die R\u00e4nder abgedunkelt, weil ich das braune Kraftpapier darauf sehen konnte. Bevor ich den Spruch auf der linken Seite anbringe, habe ich einen kleinen Streifen Washi-Tape auf der Seite angebracht. Es ist kein echtes Washi-Tape, sondern ein Aufkleber aus dem Idea-Ology Christmas 2024 Sticker Book. Tim Holtz begann, diese kleinen Streifen in seine Stickerb\u00fccher einzuf\u00fcgen, nachdem er alle Washi-Tapes aus seinem Sortiment genommen hatte. Wie auch immer, ich habe den Spruch \u00fcber diesen Streifen geklebt. Der Spruch lautet: \u201eFrohes 2025\u201c, denn dies w\u00e4re kein Neujahrsprojekt ohne Neujahrswunsch! Auf der anderen Seite dieses Projekts befindet sich ein zweiter Spruch. Er stammt aus meinem Ephemera Paket und lautet: \u201eSonderlieferung\u201c, denn jedes neue Jahr ist eine Sonderlieferung! Als letzte kleine Versch\u00f6nerung habe ich meinen Seiten ein paar Idea-Ology Mirrored Stars hinzugef\u00fcgt. Und das war das Projekt f\u00fcr heute!
