Happy New Year! Welcome back to another mixed media project. Today&#8217;s project is supposed to be funny. It is this time of the year, when all those &#8217;new year, new me&#8216; phrases appear everywhere. Some people might find it irritating but I chose to see it as something funny. So I used it as a theme. A watercolour book would have probably been a little better, because I used a lot of wet mediums, but I still need to replace mine. First I wanted to add something on the white pages. So, I used a piece from the Idea-Ology Christmas 2024 Collage Paper, I tore it diagonally and I glued it on the corners of my pages using Multi Medium Matte. I dried the glue and then I covered everything with a good layer of clear Gesso. Once the Gesso was dry, I added some texture, using the Clockwork Layering stencil with Ranger Translucent Distress Grit Paste. Normally, I would advise to let the paste dry on its own. But this paste reacts differently when it is dried with heat. Instead of creating hard edges, it smooths out and I like that. So, I used the heat gun to dry the paste. Next is adding colour. I used Salvaged Patina and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Sprays along with a little bit of water, to add colour to my pages. I wasn&#8217;t trying to cover everything. As you can see, there is still some white in the center of my project and I think it goes well with my colours. I dried the pages and then I added a few more things. So, I used the &#8218;The Poinsettia&#8216; stamp set by Tim Holtz with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and I added a text design, mostly around the edges of the pages and then I little bit in the middle. Then I used the snowflake stamps from the &#8218;Mr. Frostie&#8216; stamp set by Tim Holtz and I stamped them mostly on the top left corner and the right lower part of my project, first with Ranger Glacier White Pigment ink and then with the Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink. But that was not enough. I used a circle stencil and a white pen to add some white circles and then I also added some white text using the Stamperia Rub-Ons. I wanted some sparkle, so I splattered everything with the Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz. I wanted to create a shaker piece on this project. For my frame, I used a piece from the Idea-Ology Lace Baseboard Frames, I removed the top layer of it, added a sheet of acetate on it and then I put the frame back together. I treated the edges of the frame with Prize Ribbon and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks, to make it stand out from the background. For the shaker filling I used some silver snowflake sequins along with Ranger Distress Mica Flakes. I just placed all the filling on the spot of the page where it should be and then I covered it with the frame. On the frame, I placed a little girl paper doll from the Idea-Ology Solos Paper Dolls pack. To embellish my pages a little more, I used these Snip Art snowflakes. These are no longer available in the shop, unfortunately, but I still hope they will come back. I love the Snip Art Chipboards. The snowflakes had the colour of the chipboard so I used Picket Fence (white) Distress paint on them and then I sprayed them with the Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz. I placed one of them on the top left corner of my project. I cut the letters out of a mostly silver piece from the Idea-Ology Christmas Kraft-Stock. I wanted them flat so I did not stack them this time. I placed them on the left page and then I traced around them with a black pen. The sentiment says: &#8220; Time for the &#8218;New Year, New me&#8216; nonsense&#8220;. It is a little thing I find very funny around this time of the year, not the idea itself but the reaction some people have to it. Anyway, after my sentiment was placed, I added a few more things on my pages. First, I used the Idea-Ology Mirrored Stars and then I added some white pearls from the Craft Consortium Tell The Bees Enamel Dots pack. I hope you find my sentiment funny. I think people can start improving themselves at any given moment, but if the changing of the year is what they need in order to start, then so be it. Ein Aquarellbuch w\u00e4re wahrscheinlich etwas besser gewesen, da ich viele nasse Medien verwendet habe, aber ich muss meins noch ersetzen. Zuerst wollte ich den wei\u00dfen Seiten etwas hinzuf\u00fcgen. Also habe ich ein St\u00fcck des Idea-Ology Christmas 2024 Collage Paper verwendet, es diagonal abgerissen und mit Multi Medium Matte an die Ecken meiner Seiten geklebt. Ich habe den Kleber getrocknet und dann alles mit einer guten Schicht klarem Gesso bedeckt. Nachdem das Gesso getrocknet war, habe ich mit der Clockwork Layering Schablone und Ranger Translucent Distress Grit Paste etwas Textur hinzugef\u00fcgt. Normalerweise w\u00fcrde ich empfehlen, die Paste von selbst trocknen zu lassen. Aber diese Paste reagiert anders, wenn sie mit Hitze getrocknet wird. Anstatt harte Kanten zu erzeugen, gl\u00e4ttet sie sich und das gef\u00e4llt mir. Also habe ich die Paste mit der Hei\u00dfluftpistole getrocknet. Als n\u00e4chstes kommt die Farbe. Ich habe Salvaged Patina und Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Sprays zusammen mit ein wenig Wasser verwendet, um meinen Seiten Farbe zu verleihen. Ich habe nicht versucht, alles abzudecken. Wie ihr seht, ist in der Mitte meines Projekts noch etwas Wei\u00df und ich finde, es passt gut zu meinen Farben. Ich habe die Seiten getrocknet und dann noch ein paar Dinge hinzugef\u00fcgt. Ich habe also das Stempelset \u201eThe Poinsettia\u201c von Tim Holtz mit VersaFine Onyx Black Tinte verwendet und ein Textdesign hinzugef\u00fcgt, haupts\u00e4chlich um die Seitenr\u00e4nder herum und dann ein bisschen in der Mitte. Dann habe ich die Schneeflockenstempel aus dem Stempelset \u201eMr. Frostie\u201c von Tim Holtz verwendet und sie haupts\u00e4chlich in die obere linke Ecke und den rechten unteren Teil meines Projekts gestempelt, zuerst mit Ranger Glacier White Pigment Tinte und dann mit der Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Tinte. Aber das war nicht genug. Ich habe eine Kreisschablone und einen wei\u00dfen Stift verwendet, um einige wei\u00dfe Kreise hinzuzuf\u00fcgen, und dann habe ich mit den Stamperia Rub-Ons auch etwas wei\u00dfen Text hinzugef\u00fcgt. Ich wollte etwas Glitzer, also habe ich alles mit dem Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz bespritzt. Ich wollte auf diesem Projekt ein Shaker St\u00fcck erstellen. F\u00fcr meinen Rahmen habe ich ein St\u00fcck aus den Idea-Ology Lace Baseboard Frames verwendet, die oberste Schicht davon entfernt, eine Acetatfolie darauf gelegt und dann den Rahmen wieder zusammengesetzt. Ich habe die Kanten des Rahmens mit Prize Ribbon und Black Soot Distress Oxide Tinten behandelt, damit er sich vom Hintergrund abhebt. F\u00fcr die Shaker F\u00fcllung habe ich einige silberne Schneeflocken Pailletten zusammen mit Ranger Distress Mica Flakes verwendet. Ich habe die gesamte F\u00fcllung dort auf der Seite platziert, wo sie hin sollte, und sie dann mit dem Rahmen abgedeckt. Auf den Rahmen habe ich eine kleine Papierpuppe aus dem Idea-Ology Solos Paper Dolls Paket gelegt. Um meine Seiten noch ein wenig zu versch\u00f6nern, habe ich diese Snip Art Schneeflocken verwendet. Diese sind leider nicht mehr im Shop erh\u00e4ltlich, aber ich hoffe trotzdem, dass sie wiederkommen. Ich liebe die Snip Art Chipboards. Die Schneeflocken hatten die Farbe der Spanplatte, also habe ich sie mit Picket Fence (wei\u00dfer) Distress Paint bemalt und dann mit Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz bespr\u00fcht. Eine davon habe ich in der oberen linken Ecke meines Projekts platziert. Ich habe die Buchstaben aus einem gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils silbernen St\u00fcck aus dem Idea-Ology Christmas Kraft-Stock ausgestanzt. Ich wollte sie flach haben, also habe ich sie dieses Mal nicht gestapelt. Ich habe sie auf die linke Seite gelegt und dann mit einem schwarzen Stift um sie herum nachgezeichnet. Der Spruch lautet: \u201eZeit f\u00fcr den \u201aNeues Jahr, neues Ich\u2018-Unsinn\u201c. Das ist eine Kleinigkeit, die ich zu dieser Jahreszeit sehr lustig finde, nicht die Idee selbst, sondern die Reaktion, die manche Leute darauf haben. Wie auch immer, nachdem mein Spruch platziert war, habe ich noch ein paar weitere Dinge auf meinen Seiten hinzugef\u00fcgt. Zuerst habe ich die Idea-Ology Mirrored Stars verwendet und dann einige wei\u00dfe Perlen aus dem Craft Consortium Tell The Bees Enamel Dots Paket hinzugef\u00fcgt. Welcome back to another mixed media project. Today&#8217;s project is supposed to be funny. It is this time of the year, when all those &#8217;new year, new me&#8216; phrases appear everywhere. Some people might find it irritating but I chose to see it as something funny. So I used it as a theme. Let\u2019s start with the materials I used: Materials\u00a0(If something is not in stock, please simply click on \u201cProduct reminder\u201d\/ \u201cProdukterinnerung\u201d) For today, I worked in my Stamperia Mixed Media art journal. A watercolour book would have probably been a little better, because I used a lot of wet mediums, but I still need to replace mine. First I wanted to add something on the white pages. So, I used a piece from the Idea-Ology Christmas 2024 Collage Paper, I tore it diagonally and I glued it on the corners of my pages using Multi Medium Matte. I dried the glue and then I covered everything with a good layer of clear Gesso. Once the Gesso was dry, I added some texture, using the Clockwork Layering stencil with Ranger Translucent Distress Grit Paste. Normally, I would advise to let the paste dry on its own. But this paste reacts differently when it is dried with heat. Instead of creating hard edges, it smooths out and I like that. So, I used the heat gun to dry the paste. Next is adding colour. I used Salvaged Patina and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Sprays along with a little bit of water, to add colour to my pages. I wasn&#8217;t trying to cover everything. As you can see, there is still some white in the center of my project and I think it goes well with my colours. I dried the pages and then I added a few more things. So, I used the &#8218;The Poinsettia&#8216; stamp set by Tim Holtz with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and I added a text design, mostly around the edges of the pages and then I little bit in the middle. Then I used the snowflake stamps from the &#8218;Mr. Frostie&#8216; stamp set by Tim Holtz and I stamped them mostly on the top left corner and the right lower part of my project, first with Ranger Glacier White Pigment ink and then with the Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink. But that was not enough. I used a circle stencil and a white pen to add some white circles and then I also added some white text using the Stamperia Rub-Ons. I wanted some sparkle, so I splattered everything with the Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz. I darkened the edges of the pages using Prize Ribbon and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks and the background was done! Time to prepare my images. I wanted to create a shaker piece on this project. For my frame, I used a piece from the Idea-Ology Lace Baseboard Frames, I removed the top layer of it, added a sheet of acetate on it and then I put the frame back together. I treated the edges of the frame with Prize Ribbon and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks, to make it stand out from the background. For the shaker filling I used some silver snowflake sequins along with Ranger Distress Mica Flakes. I just placed all the filling on the spot of the page where it should be and then I covered it with the frame. On the frame, I placed a little girl paper doll from the Idea-Ology Solos Paper Dolls pack. To embellish my pages a little more, I used these Snip Art snowflakes. These are no longer available in the shop, unfortunately, but I still hope they will come back. I love the Snip Art Chipboards. The snowflakes had the colour of the chipboard so I used Picket Fence (white) Distress paint on them and then I sprayed them with the Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz. I placed one of them on the top left corner of my project. I cut the other snowflake in half and placed the parts around my frame. My sentiment is cut with the alphabet dies from the Sizzix Santa Greetings, Colorize Thinlits set. I cut the letters out of a mostly silver piece from the Idea-Ology Christmas Kraft-Stock. I wanted them flat so I did not stack them this time. I placed them on the left page and then I traced around them with a black pen. The sentiment says: &#8220; Time for the &#8218;New Year, New me&#8216; nonsense&#8220;. It is a little thing I find very funny around this time of the year, not the idea itself but the reaction some people have to it. Anyway, after my sentiment was placed, I added a few more things on my pages. First, I used the Idea-Ology Mirrored Stars and then I added some white pearls from the Craft Consortium Tell The Bees Enamel Dots pack. And because that was not enough (please do not lough a lot) I also added some big and small dots of the Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops. And that was the project for today! I hope you find my sentiment funny. I think people can start improving themselves at any given moment, but if the changing of the year is what they need in order to start, then so be it. Until then, stay creative and have fun! *Deutsche Version* Hallo zusammen! Frohes neues Jahr! Willkommen zur\u00fcck zu einem weiteren Mixed-Media Projekt. Das heutige Projekt soll lustig sein. Es ist diese Zeit des Jahres, in der \u00fcberall diese ganzen \u201eNeues Jahr, neues Ich\u201c-S\u00e4tze auftauchen. Manche Leute finden das vielleicht irritierend, aber ich habe mich entschieden, es als etwas Lustiges zu sehen. Also habe ich es als Thema verwendet. Beginnen wir mit den Materialien, die ich verwendet habe: Materialien\u00a0(wenn etwas nicht auf Lager ist, bitte einfach auf \u201eProdukterinnerung\u201c klicken) Heute habe ich in meinem Stamperia Mixed Media Art Journal gearbeitet. Ein Aquarellbuch w\u00e4re wahrscheinlich etwas besser gewesen, da ich viele nasse Medien verwendet habe, aber ich muss meins noch ersetzen. Zuerst wollte ich den wei\u00dfen Seiten etwas hinzuf\u00fcgen. Also habe ich ein St\u00fcck des Idea-Ology Christmas 2024 Collage Paper verwendet, es diagonal abgerissen und mit Multi Medium Matte an die Ecken meiner Seiten geklebt. Ich habe den Kleber getrocknet und dann alles mit einer guten Schicht klarem Gesso bedeckt. Nachdem das Gesso getrocknet war, habe ich mit der Clockwork Layering Schablone und Ranger Translucent Distress Grit Paste etwas Textur hinzugef\u00fcgt. Normalerweise w\u00fcrde ich empfehlen, die Paste von selbst trocknen zu lassen. Aber diese Paste reagiert anders, wenn sie mit Hitze getrocknet wird. Anstatt harte Kanten zu erzeugen, gl\u00e4ttet sie sich und das gef\u00e4llt mir. Also habe ich die Paste mit der Hei\u00dfluftpistole getrocknet. Als n\u00e4chstes kommt die Farbe. Ich habe Salvaged Patina und Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Sprays zusammen mit ein wenig Wasser verwendet, um meinen Seiten Farbe zu verleihen. Ich habe nicht versucht, alles abzudecken. Wie ihr seht, ist in der Mitte meines Projekts noch etwas Wei\u00df und ich finde, es passt gut zu meinen Farben. Ich habe die Seiten getrocknet und dann noch ein paar Dinge hinzugef\u00fcgt. Ich habe also das Stempelset \u201eThe Poinsettia\u201c von Tim Holtz mit VersaFine Onyx Black Tinte verwendet und ein Textdesign hinzugef\u00fcgt, haupts\u00e4chlich um die Seitenr\u00e4nder herum und dann ein bisschen in der Mitte. Aber das war nicht genug. Ich habe eine Kreisschablone und einen wei\u00dfen Stift verwendet, um einige wei\u00dfe Kreise hinzuzuf\u00fcgen, und dann habe ich mit den Stamperia Rub-Ons auch etwas wei\u00dfen Text hinzugef\u00fcgt. Ich wollte etwas Glitzer, also habe ich alles mit dem Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz bespritzt. Ich habe die R\u00e4nder der Seiten mit Prize Ribbon und Black Soot Distress Oxide Tinten abgedunkelt und schon war der Hintergrund fertig! Zeit, meine Bilder vorzubereiten. Ich wollte auf diesem Projekt ein Shaker St\u00fcck erstellen. F\u00fcr meinen Rahmen habe ich ein St\u00fcck aus den Idea-Ology Lace Baseboard Frames verwendet, die oberste Schicht davon entfernt, eine Acetatfolie darauf gelegt und dann den Rahmen wieder zusammengesetzt. Ich habe die Kanten des Rahmens mit Prize Ribbon und Black Soot Distress Oxide Tinten behandelt, damit er sich vom Hintergrund abhebt. F\u00fcr die Shaker F\u00fcllung habe ich einige silberne Schneeflocken Pailletten zusammen mit Ranger Distress Mica Flakes verwendet. Ich habe die gesamte F\u00fcllung dort auf der Seite platziert, wo sie hin sollte, und sie dann mit dem Rahmen abgedeckt. Auf den Rahmen habe ich eine kleine Papierpuppe aus dem Idea-Ology Solos Paper Dolls Paket gelegt. Um meine Seiten noch ein wenig zu versch\u00f6nern, habe ich diese Snip Art Schneeflocken verwendet. Diese sind leider nicht mehr im Shop erh\u00e4ltlich, aber ich hoffe trotzdem, dass sie wiederkommen. Ich liebe die Snip Art Chipboards. Die Schneeflocken hatten die Farbe der Spanplatte, also habe ich sie mit Picket Fence (wei\u00dfer) Distress Paint bemalt und dann mit Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz bespr\u00fcht. Eine davon habe ich in der oberen linken Ecke meines Projekts platziert. Die andere Schneeflocke habe ich in zwei H\u00e4lften geschnitten und die Teile um meinen Rahmen gelegt. Ich habe die Buchstaben aus einem gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils silbernen St\u00fcck aus dem Idea-Ology Christmas Kraft-Stock ausgestanzt. Ich wollte sie flach haben, also habe ich sie dieses Mal nicht gestapelt. Ich habe sie auf die linke Seite gelegt und dann mit einem schwarzen Stift um sie herum nachgezeichnet. Der Spruch lautet: \u201eZeit f\u00fcr den \u201aNeues Jahr, neues Ich\u2018-Unsinn\u201c. Das ist eine Kleinigkeit, die ich zu dieser Jahreszeit sehr lustig finde, nicht die Idee selbst, sondern die Reaktion, die manche Leute darauf haben. Wie auch immer, nachdem mein Spruch platziert war, habe ich noch ein paar weitere Dinge auf meinen Seiten hinzugef\u00fcgt. Zuerst habe ich die Idea-Ology Mirrored Stars verwendet und dann einige wei\u00dfe Perlen aus dem Craft Consortium Tell The Bees Enamel Dots Paket hinzugef\u00fcgt. Und weil das nicht genug war (bitte nicht zu viel lachen), habe ich auch einige gro\u00dfe und kleine Punkte der Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops hinzugef\u00fcgt.
