Welcome back to another Mixed Media project. I am back after a long cold. Being sick is no fun! So, for today&#8217;s project, I decided to play with a lovely paper collection. Using a paper collection is easy, since all the colours and shapes are already provided. I just had to work my magic with them! I felt like I needed to brake that white of the pages, so the first thing I did was to add some rice paper. I used pieces from the Stamperia Wood rice paper and I attached them on my pages with Multi Medium Matte. I dried my glue and then I covered everything with a good layer of Gesso. I wanted to seamlessly bind the rice paper with the rest of the page and a good way to achieve that is by using acrylic paint. I used Distress Paint in colours Antique Linen, Picket Fence (white), Walnut Stain (brown) and Salvaged Patina. First, I mixed the Antique Linen with some Picket Fence and a little bit of Walnut Stain. I used a sponge dabber to cover the white parts of my pages with the colour I made and then I started adding some pure colour in it. I dabbed some Walnut Stain all over the pages and then I added some Salvaged Patina to the parts where the rice paper had a teal colour, trying to expand the rice paper design into the painted areas. I used the Walnut Stain and the picket Fence paints to splatter my project and then I dried it. I wanted a little bit more of the Salvaged Patina on my pages. I love this colour. So, I used The Stamperia Leaf stencil with the Salvaged Patina paint on the top left and bottom right corner of my project, adding just a little bit of Walnut Stain on some spots. Next, I added some stamping, using stamps from the Tim Holtz &#8222;Dearly Departed&#8220; stamp set, with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I kept the stamping mostly around the edges of the pages, adding only small details on the center. All of my pieces come from the Stamperia Alterego Maxi Pad. I used the 8 x 8 inches paper pad, because that is the size that fits my project better. The size of your page will determine the size of the images you need and thus the size of the paper pad you will need to use. So, I cut all of my images out of my paper pad and I arranged them on my pages. Then, I used Black Soot Distress Oxide ink with a stiff brush and I added some shadows all around the images, in order to give them a little bit more definition. I love how the images fit with the rice paper. They are not from the same collection but the colours and the shapes were so similar that I thought they would look good together and they do! I chose to use the black sentiment stripes, to bring a little bit more of the black in the center of my project. The sentiment says: &#8220; Hold on tight to your dreams. Trust your crazy ideas. Embrace beautiful chaos&#8220;. To be honest, the whole project made me think of my garden and how I go from chaos to magic with it. Sometimes we have to trust the process and go through chaos to reach were we want to be. Come to think of it, my art is also like that\u2026. I find this Stamperia collection very interesting. The different animals in it are supposed to represent different human characters! If that is so, then I am definitely that gardener rabbit! Ich hatte das Gef\u00fchl, dass ich das Wei\u00df der Seiten aufbrechen musste, also habe ich als Erstes etwas Reispapier hinzugef\u00fcgt. Ich habe St\u00fccke des Stamperia Wood Reispapiers verwendet und sie mit Multi Medium Matte auf meinen Seiten befestigt. Ich habe meinen Kleber getrocknet und dann alles mit einer dicken Schicht Gesso bedeckt. Ich wollte das Reispapier nahtlos mit dem Rest der Seite verbinden und das l\u00e4sst sich gut mit Acrylfarbe erreichen. Ich habe Distress Paint in den Farben Antique Linen, Picket Fence (wei\u00df), Walnut Stain (braun) und Salvaged Patina verwendet. Zuerst habe ich das Antique Linen mit etwas Picket Fence und ein wenig Walnut Stain gemischt. Ich habe einen Tupfschwamm verwendet, um die wei\u00dfen Teile meiner Seiten mit der Farbe zu bedecken, die ich hergestellt hatte, und dann habe ich angefangen, etwas reine Farbe hinzuzuf\u00fcgen. Ich habe etwas Walnut Stain auf die Seiten getupft und dann etwas Salvaged Patina auf die Teile aufgetragen, wo das Reispapier eine blaugr\u00fcne Farbe hatte, um das Reispapierdesign auf die bemalten Bereiche auszudehnen. Ich habe die Walnut Stain und die Picket Fence Farben verwendet, um mein Projekt zu bespritzen, und dann habe ich es getrocknet. Ich wollte etwas mehr von der Salvaged Patina auf meinen Seiten. Ich liebe diese Farbe. Welcome back to another Mixed Media project. I am back after a long cold. Being sick is no fun! So, for today&#8217;s project, I decided to play with a lovely paper collection. Using a paper collection is easy, since all the colours and shapes are already provided. I just had to work my magic with them! Let\u2019s start with the materials I used: Materials\u00a0(If something is not in stock, please simply click on \u201cProduct reminder\u201d\/ \u201cProdukterinnerung\u201d) For this project, I worked in my Stamperia mixed media art journal and I started with the background. I felt like I needed to brake that white of the pages, so the first thing I did was to add some rice paper. I used pieces from the Stamperia Wood rice paper and I attached them on my pages with Multi Medium Matte. I dried my glue and then I covered everything with a good layer of Gesso. I wanted to seamlessly bind the rice paper with the rest of the page and a good way to achieve that is by using acrylic paint. I used Distress Paint in colours Antique Linen, Picket Fence (white), Walnut Stain (brown) and Salvaged Patina. First, I mixed the Antique Linen with some Picket Fence and a little bit of Walnut Stain. I used a sponge dabber to cover the white parts of my pages with the colour I made and then I started adding some pure colour in it. I dabbed some Walnut Stain all over the pages and then I added some Salvaged Patina to the parts where the rice paper had a teal colour, trying to expand the rice paper design into the painted areas. I used the Walnut Stain and the picket Fence paints to splatter my project and then I dried it. I wanted a little bit more of the Salvaged Patina on my pages. I love this colour. So, I used The Stamperia Leaf stencil with the Salvaged Patina paint on the top left and bottom right corner of my project, adding just a little bit of Walnut Stain on some spots. Next, I added some stamping, using stamps from the Tim Holtz &#8222;Dearly Departed&#8220; stamp set, with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I kept the stamping mostly around the edges of the pages, adding only small details on the center. I used Black Soot Distress oxide ink to darken the edges of my pages, and my background was done. Time to prepare my images. All of my pieces come from the Stamperia Alterego Maxi Pad. I used the 8 x 8 inches paper pad, because that is the size that fits my project better. The size of your page will determine the size of the images you need and thus the size of the paper pad you will need to use. So, I cut all of my images out of my paper pad and I arranged them on my pages. Then, I used Black Soot Distress Oxide ink with a stiff brush and I added some shadows all around the images, in order to give them a little bit more definition. I love how the images fit with the rice paper. They are not from the same collection but the colours and the shapes were so similar that I thought they would look good together and they do! Isn&#8217;t it nice when everything seems to work so nice! My sentiment comes from the Idea-Ology Small Talk Sticker Book. I chose to use the black sentiment stripes, to bring a little bit more of the black in the center of my project. The sentiment says: &#8220; Hold on tight to your dreams. Trust your crazy ideas.
