<\/figure>\n\n\n\nFirst of all, I chose my paper pages and cut out my images. Then, I covered them with Multi Medium Matte and left them aside to dry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then I started working on the background. First, I used the Crackle paste and I spread it with a spatula, directly on the page, starting from the center and moving outwards. I have to say, I have a love hate relationship with Crackle paste. I either use too little or too much. I really love the effect but it usually do not work very well for me. But I am quite happy with how it worked this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moving on to the colour, it was time for the Mica Spray. I used the Shiny Bauble Distress Mica Stain spray, which is part of the Holiday set 4. I sprayed directly on my paper, aiming from the center towards the edges. I wanted the colour to fade out towards the edges (at least that was the intention. I know it doesn’t show in the final image). I also used the same Mica Spray to splatter all around the edges. I dried my page and glued the paper stripes I prepared on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One thing to be careful about using these sprays, is that they are water-based products. The Multi Medium I used as glue is also a water-based product. I had to be careful not to shift my images, as I was gluing them down, because that could ruin the colour under\u00a0 and around them. That is also the reason why I covered them with the Multi Medium beforehand (and I will explain why I needed them covered).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nAnd it was time for stenciling. I used the Compass stencil, with the same Crackle paste, all around my page. I never use the entire stencil, just small parts of it. This stencil has a lot of random splatter shapes and I think that fit nicely with my project. Once everything was dry, I used the Distress Vintage Photo ink with a sponge dabber, and I added some shadows all around the edges of my page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, I started arranging and gluing down my images. That also had to be done carefully. I didn’t want to lift my background colour. Once the glue was dry, I used a Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen brush and added shadows around my images. These pens have Indian ink, which dries permanent, but it allows a few moments before that. I usually apply it and smudge it. In order to do that, I need a non-porous surface that will not absorb the ink. That is the reason I coated my images with Multi Medium in the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the shadows done, I chose a few little spots on my project, and I applied the Rub On Transfers. I chose the lettering part of the Rub On. I think it provides a very discreet yet nice detail on my page. Last, I placed my sentiment stripes and I sketched some lines around them using a simple black pen (just about any thin black pen would do). The sketchy lines bind the sentiment stripes to the rest of the page. I added some highlights with a white pen, and the page was done!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aber ich bin sehr zufrieden damit, wie es diesmal geklappt hat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nun zur Farbe, es war Zeit f\u00fcr das Mica-Spray. Ich habe das Spray Shiny Bauble Distress Mica Stain verwendet, das Teil des Holiday-Sets 4 ist. Ich habe von der Mitte zu den R\u00e4ndern auf mein Papier gespr\u00fcht. Ich wollte, dass die Farbe zu den R\u00e4ndern hin verblasst. Zumindest war das beabsichtigt. Ich wei\u00df, dass es im endg\u00fcltigen Bild nicht zu sehen ist. Ich habe das gleiche Mica-Spray verwendet, um alle Kanten zu spritzen. Dann habe ich meine Seite getrocknet und die vorbereiteten Papierstreifen darauf geklebt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eine Sache, die man bei der Verwendung dieser Sprays beachten sollte, ist dass es sich um Produkte auf Wasserbasis handelt. Das von mir als Kleber verwendete Multi Medium ist ebenfalls ein Produkt auf Wasserbasis. Ich musste darauf achten, meine Bilder nicht zu verschieben, als ich sie aufklebte, weil das die Farbe unter und um sie herum ruinieren k\u00f6nnte. Das ist auch der Grund, warum ich sie vorher mit dem Multi Medium bedeckt habe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Und es war Zeit zum Schablonieren. Ich habe die Compass-Schablone mit der gleichen Crackle-Paste \u00fcberall auf meiner Seite verwendet. Ich verwende nie die gesamte Schablone, nur kleine Teile davon. Diese Schablone hat viele zuf\u00e4llige Spritzerformen und ich denke, das passt zu meinem Projekt sehr gut. Sobald alles trocken war, habe ich die Distress Vintage Photo-Tinte mit einem Schwammpinsel verwendet und an den R\u00e4ndern meiner Seite einige Schatten hinzugef\u00fcgt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Schlie\u00dflich habe ich angefangen, meine Bilder zu arrangieren und zu kleben. Auch hier musste sorgf\u00e4ltig vorgegangen werden. Ich wollte meine Hintergrundfarbe nicht anheben. Sobald der Kleber trocken war, habe ich einen Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen-Pinsel verwendet und Schatten um meine Bilder hinzugef\u00fcgt. Diese Stifte haben Tusche, die wasserfest trocknet, aber es l\u00e4sst einige Momente vorher zu in denen sie verwischbar bleibt. Dazu brauche ich eine porenfreie Oberfl\u00e4che, die die Tinte nicht aufnimmt. Das ist der Grund, aus dem ich meine Bilder anfangs mit Multi Medium beschichtet habe. Nachdem die Schatten fertig waren, habe ich ein paar kleine Stellen in meinem Projekt ausgew\u00e4hlt und die Rub On Transfers aufgetragen. Ich habe mich f\u00fcr den Schriftzugteil des Rub On entschieden. Ich denke, es bietet ein sehr dezentes, aber sch\u00f6nes Detail auf meiner Seite. Zuletzt habe ich meine Small Talk Stickers platziert und einige Linien um sie herum mit einem einfachen schwarzen Stift skizziert. (Fast jeder d\u00fcnne schwarze Stift w\u00fcrde reichen). Die skizzenhaften Linien binden die Sticker an den Rest der Seite. Ich habe ein paar Highlights mit einem wei\u00dfen Stift hinzugef\u00fcgt, und die Seite war fertig!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
