<\/figure>\n\n\n\nAs it is tradition, I started with the background. I wanted a background that would match the colours of my papers, so I used reis paper from the same collection. I carefully stuck the reis paper on my pages, using Multi Medium Matt and then I used a nail buffer to scrape of the excess from the edges. I could cut the paper with scissors, but I like how much more natural it looks when I just scrape the edges of. The colours of the reis paper were a little bit to bold for a background so I used a bit of Gesso and a Brayer to add some white. I dried the Gesso and moved on to the next layer, which was stenciling! I chose the Stamperia Compass stencil and my all time favourite Ranger Texture Crackle Paste and I added a bit of texture and design on the pages. And with that, the background was done!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I chose the big jellyfish, some gears, some big letters and words, some random images and some stripes of paper. I arranged the stripes of paper all around the edges of my pages and then I added the rest of the images wherever I liked them. There are really no rules to how I build this sort of pages. I just add things I liked wherever I think they would look good. My sentiment says „Let the sea set you free“ and it appears twice on this project, as a decorative word and as a main sentiment. In the end, I used my Faber- Castel Pitt Artist Pens to add some extra colour and shading. Of course, all of the paper on my pages was covered with Multi Medium Matt which means that it was turned into a non porous surface. That is needed in order to use the Pitt Artist Pens. Instead of these Pens, I could have used Distress Crayons in the very same way. I would just apply the colour and smudge it with my finger. There is never just one way to do things and that is exactly what I like about crafting. Each one of us does things in her\/his own way and that is really exciting!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich habe das Reispapier vorsichtig mit Multi Medium Matt auf meine Seiten geklebt und danach habe ich einen Nailbuffer verwendet, um den \u00dcberschuss von den R\u00e4ndern abzukratzen. Ich k\u00f6nnte das Papier mit einer Schere schneiden, aber mir gef\u00e4llt, wie viel nat\u00fcrlicher es aussieht, wenn ich nur die Kanten abkratze. Ich habe die Papierstreifen rund um die R\u00e4nder meiner Seiten angeordnet und dann die restlichen Bilder dort hinzugef\u00fcgt, wo sie mir gefallen haben. Ich habe wirklich keine Regeln daf\u00fcr, wie ich diese Art von Seiten aufbaue. Ich f\u00fcge einfach Dinge hinzu, die mir gefallen, wo ich denke, dass sie gut aussehen w\u00fcrden.
