I am Lia and I am here today with a new mixed media project. I got distracted by the birds chirping while I was thinking of what to make for this week. So, I worked on a project based on birds! Inspiration can come from any direction!!! I wanted a lot of texture, indicating branches everywhere. So, I started by covering my page with Multi Medium and then I crumpled a piece of rice paper, opened it just enough to cover the page and just laid it on the page. I also used Multi Medium on top of the rice paper, just to make sure it was firmly attached on my page. Once the Multi Medium was dry, I covered everything with white gesso and dried the page again. For colouring my background, I used Distress Oxide Sprays in colours Speckled Egg and Vintage Photo. I just sprayed on my project with the colours, sprayed with water, let the colours mix, dried them and repeat until I liked what I had. Next, I tried to add a stencil design, using the Stamperia Leaf stencil and Dylusions Polished Jade paint, but I didn&#8217;t manage. My page was so much textured that the stencil design just wouldn&#8217;t show. So, I sprayed the wet paint with some water and left it to blend with my base colours. Once that layer was dry, I used some white gesso and spread it on the center portion of the page with my finger. I also lightly toughed the textured areas of the rest of the page. My leaves are made with the Sizzix Holiday Brushstroke #2 Thinlits set and coloured cardstock. I made them back in the Christmas season and I did not use them, so I kept them. I only had to darkened their edges with some Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and they were ready! For my Robin birds, I used the Sizzix Feathered Friends Thinlits set and mixed media paper. I then coloured them with Distress Oxide inks in colours Ground Espresso, Carved Pumpkin and Lost Shadow. For the branch, I simply sketched it and cut it out and then I used the Craft Emotions Background Boards stamp to add some wood texture to it. My nest comes from the Idea-Ology Memoir Ephemera pack. It looked a little dull on the page so I added some colour to it using my Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens. It says &#8222;It&#8217;s the little things that make life big&#8220;. Every time I hear the birds singing or the bees buzzing around me, I think that people do not really need much to be happy. I had a lot of fun fighting all that texture I created! I just wanted to let you all know that, a lot of the products I used on this project are on sale right now. Ich wollte viel Textur, die \u00fcberall Zweige andeutet. Also habe ich damit begonnen, meine Seite mit Multi Medium abzudecken, dann habe ich ein St\u00fcck Reispapier zerkn\u00fcllt, es gerade so weit\u00a0 ge\u00f6ffnet, dass es die Seite bedeckte, und es einfach auf die Seite gelegt. Ich habe auch Multi Medium auf das Reispapier aufgetragen, nur um sicherzustellen, dass es fest auf meiner Seite haftet. Sobald das Multi Medium trocken war, habe ich alles mit wei\u00dfem Gesso bedeckt und die Seite erneut getrocknet. Zum F\u00e4rben meines Hintergrunds habe ich Distress Oxide Sprays in den Farben Speckled Egg und Vintage Photo verwendet. Ich habe mein Projekt mit den Farben bespr\u00fcht, dann mit Wasser, habe das sich vermischen lassen, es getrocknet und das alles so lange wiederholt, bis mir das Ergebnis gefiel. Als n\u00e4chstes habe ich versucht, ein Schablonendesign hinzuzuf\u00fcgen, indem ich die Stamperia Leaf-Schablone und die Farbe \u201ePolish Jade\u201c von Dylusions verwendet habe, aber es ist mir nicht gelungen. Meine Seite war so stark strukturiert, dass das Schablonendesign einfach nicht sichtbar war. Also habe ich die nasse Farbe mit etwas Wasser aufgespr\u00fcht und sie mit meinen Grundfarben vermischen gelassen. Sobald diese Schicht trocken war, habe ich etwas wei\u00dfes Gesso verwendet und es mit meinem Finger in der Mitte der Seite verteilt. Ich habe auch die strukturierten Bereiche des Rests der Seite leicht gest\u00e4rkt. Und damit war der Hintergrund fertig!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zeit, meine Bilder zu erstellen, und ich war wirklich froh, einige davon bereits fertig zu haben. Meine Bl\u00e4tter werden mit dem Sizzix Holiday Brushstroke #2 Thinlits-Set und farbigem Karton hergestellt. Ich hatte sie in der Weihnachtszeit gemacht und sie nicht verwendet, also hatte ich sie aufgehoben. Ich musste nur ihre R\u00e4nder mit etwas Ground Espresso Distress Oxide-Tinte abdunkeln und schon waren sie fertig! F\u00fcr meine V\u00f6gel habe ich das Sizzix Feathered Friends Thinlits-Set und Mixed-Media-Papier verwendet. Anschlie\u00dfend habe ich sie mit Distress Oxide-Tinten in den Farben Ground Espresso, Carved Pumpkin und Lost Shadow eingef\u00e4rbt. Den Zweig habe ich ihn einfach skizziert und ausgeschnitten und dann mit dem Stempel \u201eCraft Emotions Background Boards\u201c etwas Holzstruktur hinzugef\u00fcgt. Mein Nest stammt aus dem Idea-Ology Memoir Ephemera-Paket. Auf der Seite sah es etwas langweilig aus, also habe ich mit Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens etwas Farbe hinzugef\u00fcgt. I am Lia and I am here today with a new mixed media project. I got distracted by the birds chirping while I was thinking of what to make for this week. So, I worked on a project based on birds! Inspiration can come from any direction!!! Let\u2019s start with the materials I used: Materials I worked in my art journal and I started by setting the base for my background. I wanted a lot of texture, indicating branches everywhere. So, I started by covering my page with Multi Medium and then I crumpled a piece of rice paper, opened it just enough to cover the page and just laid it on the page. I also used Multi Medium on top of the rice paper, just to make sure it was firmly attached on my page. Once the Multi Medium was dry, I covered everything with white gesso and dried the page again. For colouring my background, I used Distress Oxide Sprays in colours Speckled Egg and Vintage Photo. I just sprayed on my project with the colours, sprayed with water, let the colours mix, dried them and repeat until I liked what I had. Next, I tried to add a stencil design, using the Stamperia Leaf stencil and Dylusions Polished Jade paint, but I didn&#8217;t manage. My page was so much textured that the stencil design just wouldn&#8217;t show. So, I sprayed the wet paint with some water and left it to blend with my base colours. Once that layer was dry, I used some white gesso and spread it on the center portion of the page with my finger. I also lightly toughed the textured areas of the rest of the page. And with that, the background was done! It was time to create my images and I was really happy to have some of them ready. My leaves are made with the Sizzix Holiday Brushstroke #2 Thinlits set and coloured cardstock. I made them back in the Christmas season and I did not use them, so I kept them. I only had to darkened their edges with some Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and they were ready! For my Robin birds, I used the Sizzix Feathered Friends Thinlits set and mixed media paper. I then coloured them with Distress Oxide inks in colours Ground Espresso, Carved Pumpkin and Lost Shadow. For the branch, I simply sketched it and cut it out and then I used the Craft Emotions Background Boards stamp to add some wood texture to it. My nest comes from the Idea-Ology Memoir Ephemera pack. It looked a little dull on the page so I added some colour to it using my Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens. I attached everything on my page and then I added shadows, using the Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and a stiff brush. My sentiment comes from the Idea-Ology Small Talk sticker block. It says &#8222;It&#8217;s the little things that make life big&#8220;. Every time I hear the birds singing or the bees buzzing around me, I think that people do not really need much to be happy. Also habe ich an einem Projekt gearbeitet, das auf V\u00f6geln basiert! Inspiration kann aus jeder Richtung kommen!!! Beginnen wir mit den Materialien, die ich verwendet habe: Materialien Ich habe an meinem Kunstjournal gearbeitet und zun\u00e4chst die Grundlagen f\u00fcr meinen Hintergrund gelegt. Also habe ich damit begonnen, meine Seite mit Multi Medium abzudecken, dann habe ich ein St\u00fcck Reispapier zerkn\u00fcllt, es gerade so weit\u00a0 ge\u00f6ffnet, dass es die Seite bedeckte, und es einfach auf die Seite gelegt. Ich habe auch Multi Medium auf das Reispapier aufgetragen, nur um sicherzustellen, dass es fest auf meiner Seite haftet. Sobald das Multi Medium trocken war, habe ich alles mit wei\u00dfem Gesso bedeckt und die Seite erneut getrocknet. Zum F\u00e4rben meines Hintergrunds habe ich Distress Oxide Sprays in den Farben Speckled Egg und Vintage Photo verwendet. Ich habe mein Projekt mit den Farben bespr\u00fcht, dann mit Wasser, habe das sich vermischen lassen, es getrocknet und das alles so lange wiederholt, bis mir das Ergebnis gefiel. Als n\u00e4chstes habe ich versucht, ein Schablonendesign hinzuzuf\u00fcgen, indem ich die Stamperia Leaf-Schablone und die Farbe \u201ePolish Jade\u201c von Dylusions verwendet habe, aber es ist mir nicht gelungen. Meine Seite war so stark strukturiert, dass das Schablonendesign einfach nicht sichtbar war. Also habe ich die nasse Farbe mit etwas Wasser aufgespr\u00fcht und sie mit meinen Grundfarben vermischen gelassen. Sobald diese Schicht trocken war, habe ich etwas wei\u00dfes Gesso verwendet und es mit meinem Finger in der Mitte der Seite verteilt. Ich habe auch die strukturierten Bereiche des Rests der Seite leicht gest\u00e4rkt. Und damit war der Hintergrund fertig!
