Frozen Silence

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another Mixed Media project. We have a couple of new Stamperia collection in the shop and today I am using one of them. I love Owls! This collection is a favourite! Let’s start with the materials I used:

I made this project in a watercolour book. My background is coloured with Distress Oxide inks, in colours Vintage Photo, Uncharted Mariner and a little bit of Shaded Lilac. I used the same coloures to splatter the pages and then I added more splatter, with Shiny Bauble Distress Mica Stain Spray. For texture, I used the stencil from the Tim Holtz Blueprint Christmas #1 Layering Stamps/Stencil set, with Ranger Metallic White Texture Paste. This didn’t seem enough to me, so I used a second stencil, the Hocus Pocus Layering stencil, with Nuvo Golden Era Glacier Paste. I like the addition of gold! I darkened the edges of the pages with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink, and the background was done.

Time to prepare my images. They come from the Stamperia „The Owl’s House“ collection. I cut out the pieces I wanted, using my Tim Holtz Recoil Snips. I covered the images with Multi Medium Matte, left them to dry and then I placed them on the pages. To enhance the colours and make them more vibrant, I used my Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens. This could be done with Distress Oxide inks and a stiff brush, and then I wouldn’t have to use the Multi Medium Matte on the images, but I like my Pens! To add shadows around my images, I used the Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink with a stiff brush. I also have snowflakes on this project. Those come from a Stamperia Dacorative Chips pack. I covered them with Multi Medium Matte and then with Rocky Candy Glitter, because they are snowflakes and they need to be shiny!

My sentiment also comes from the Stamperia „The Owl’s House“ collection. It is prepared just like my images and placed on the project. I added a bit of Metallic White Texture Paste on it, on the spot where there was supposed to be snow. Then I added some paste on the branches as well, just to make it look more like snow. The sentiment says: „Frozen Silence“ and I think it fits a snowy scene perfectly. It is always so quiet and peaceful when there is snow! As a last little bit of embellishment, I added some dots of Nuvo Ivory Seashell Crystal Drops.

And that was the project for today! I love this Stamperia collection! I find that I like combining blue with gold. And the brown fits with everything very nicely. I think this project looks cold and warm, all at the same time. Sometimes, it is nice to play with the colours! I really hope you like today’s project! I hope you got inspired! Hallo zusammen! Willkommen zurück zu einem weiteren Mixed-Media Projekt. Wir haben ein paar neue Stamperia Kollektionen im Shop und heute verwende ich eine davon. Ich liebe Eulen! Diese Kollektion ist eine meiner Favoriten! Beginnen wir mit den Materialien, die ich verwendet habe:

Ich habe dieses Projekt in einem Aquarellbuch umgesetzt. Mein Hintergrund ist mit Distress Oxide Tinten in den Farben Vintage Photo, Uncharted Mariner und etwas Shaded Lilac koloriert. Dieselben Farben habe ich zum Bespritzen der Seiten verwendet und dann mit Shiny Bauble Distress Mica Stain Spray noch mehr Spritzer hinzugefügt. Für die Struktur habe ich die Schablone aus dem Tim Holtz Blueprint Christmas #1 Layering Stamps/Stencil Set mit Ranger Metallic White Texture Paste verwendet. Das schien mir nicht genug, also habe ich eine zweite Schablone verwendet, die Hocus Pocus Layering Schablone, mit Nuvo Golden Era Glacier Paste. Mir gefällt das zusätzliche Gold! Ich habe die Ränder der Seiten mit Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Tinte abgedunkelt und der Hintergrund war fertig.

Zeit, meine Bilder vorzubereiten. Sie stammen aus der Stamperia „The Owl’s House“ Kollektion. Ich habe die gewünschten Teile mit meiner Tim Holtz Recoil Snips ausgeschnitten. Ich habe die Bilder mit Multi Medium Matte überzogen, sie trocknen lassen und sie dann auf die Seiten gelegt. Um die Farben zu verstärken und lebendiger zu machen, habe ich meine Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens verwendet. Das könnte auch mit Distress Oxide Tinten und einem steifen Pinsel geschehen, und dann müsste ich kein Multi Medium Matte auf den Bildern verwenden, aber ich mag meine Stifte! Um Schatten um meine Bilder herum hinzuzufügen, habe ich die Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Tinte mit einem steifen Pinsel verwendet. Ich habe für dieses Projekt auch Schneeflocken. Diese stammen aus einem Stamperia Decoration Chips Paket. Ich habe sie mit Multi Medium Matte und dann mit Rocky Candy Glitter überzogen, weil es Schneeflocken sind und sie glänzen müssen!

Mein Spruch stammt ebenfalls aus der Stamperia „The Owl’s House“ Kollektion. Er wurde genau wie meine Bilder vorbereitet und auf dem Projekt platziert. Ich habe etwas Metallic White Texture Paste darauf aufgetragen, genau dort, wo Schnee liegen sollte. Anschließend habe ich auch etwas Paste auf die Zweige aufgetragen, damit es noch schneeähnlicher aussieht. Der Spruch lautet: „Frozen Silence“ und passt meiner Meinung nach perfekt zu einer verschneiten Szene. Es ist immer so ruhig und friedlich, wenn Schnee liegt! Als letzte kleine Verzierung habe ich noch ein paar Punkte Nuvo Ivory Seashell Crystal Drops hinzugefügt.

Und das war das Projekt für heute! Ich liebe diese Stamperia Kollektion! Ich kombiniere gerne Blau mit Gold. Und das Braun passt super zu allem. Ich finde, dieses Projekt wirkt gleichzeitig kalt und warm. Manchmal ist es schön, mit Farben zu spielen! Ich hoffe sehr, dass euch das heutige Projekt gefällt!
