Hello everyone! Welcome back to another Mixed Media project. I was a little bit under the weather, so I thought I would make something simple for this week’s project. It didn’t turn out so simple, but I am really happy with it! Let’s start with the materials I used:

I made this project in my Stamperia mixed media Art Journal and I used products from the Stamperia Timeless Romantic Collection. I started with a page from the 8″ x 8″ Scrapbooking Pad. I tore the page diagonally and glued it on the lower left and upper right corner of my project, using Multi Medium Matte. I dried the glue and then I covered my pages with clear Gesso. To blend the pattern paper (the tore page) with the rest of my project, I used Distress Paints and a sponge dabber. I started with Picket Fence (white) and slowly added some Antique Linen and some Broken China, blending everything together on the pages. Working with the sponge dabber takes some time but it creates a nice texture. Next is stamping. I used my favourite text stamp, from the Tim Holtz „The Poinsettia“ stamp set, and I stamped some text details all around the project. First, I stamped with Vintage Photo Archival ink and then with Ground Espresso Archival ink. I could still see the part where the pattern paper was connecting to my pages, so I decided to add some more texture on top of those spots, in order to mask them off. I used the Stamperia Leaf stencil with Ranger Opaque Matte Texture Paste and I created a diagonal leaf pattern. To add some colour on and around the leaf pattern, I used Stormy Sky Distress Oxide spray. I sprayed with the ink, dabbed off the excess and then I dried it. Then, I added shiny splatter, using the Peacock Feathers Distress Spritz. I felt like the leaf pattern was still getting lost in the background, so I added some gold paint on top of it. I used Dina Wakley Gild (Gold) Heavy Body Acrylic Paint and my finger to cover all the leaves in gold! With my Leaf stencils and some Ground Espresso Archival ink, I added some leaf details on the pattern paper areas of my project. Then I used my leftover gold paint to splatter the project. I darkened the edges of the pages, with Ground Espresso and Black Soot Archival inks, and the background was done!

Time to prepare my images. Most of my images come from the Stamperia Timeless Ephemera pack. I took the big hot air balloons and the big flowers from this pack. The smaller hot air balloons come from the Scrapbooking Pad. I arranged them on my pages and then I added some more colour to them, using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink with a paint brush. Then I added shadows around them, using Ground Espresso Archival ink and a stiff brush. In the end, I also added some highlights on them, with a white pen.

My sentiment comes from the Stamperia Timeless Scrapbooking Pad. I cut is out, I treated the edges with Vintage Photo Archival ink and then I attached it to my left page. Then I added shadows around it, using Ground Espresso Archival ink and a stiff brush. The sentiment says: „The world is yours, go for it“ and I had this feeling that it is very fitting to the flying hot air balloons theme. As a last little bit of embellishment, I added some dots of Nuvo Bright Gold Crystal Drops.

And that was the project for today! I always enjoy playing with paper. My very first Art Journal pages were made with Stamperia papers. In that sense, Stamperia products are special to me. Hallo zusammen! Willkommen zurück zu einem weiteren Mixed-Media Projekt. Ich fühlte mich diese Woche nicht sehr gut und dachte, ich bastele mir etwas Einfaches. Es ist zwar nicht ganz so einfach geworden, aber ich bin zufrieden damit! Beginnen wir mit den Materialien, die ich verwendet habe:

Ich habe dieses Projekt in meinem Stamperia Mixed-Media Art-Journal erstellt und Produkte aus der Stamperia Timeless Romantic Collection verwendet. Ich habe mit einer Seite aus dem 8 x 8 Zoll großen Scrapbooking Block begonnen. Ich habe die Seite diagonal abgerissen und sie mit Multi Medium Matte in die untere linke und obere rechte Ecke meines Projekts geklebt. Den Kleber habe ich getrocknet und anschließend die Seiten mit transparentem Gesso überzogen. Um das Musterpapier (die abgerissene Seite) mit dem Rest meines Projekts zu verschmelzen, habe ich Distress Paints und einen Tupfschwamm verwendet. Ich habe mit Picket Fence (weiß) begonnen und nach und nach etwas Antique Linen und Broken China hinzugefügt, sodass alles auf den Seiten miteinander verschmolz. Die Arbeit mit dem Tupfschwamm dauert zwar etwas, erzeugt aber eine schöne Textur. Als Nächstes folgt das Stempeln. Ich habe meinen Lieblingstextstempel aus dem Tim Holtz „The Poinsettia“ Stempelset verwendet und einige Textdetails rund um das Projekt gestempelt. Zuerst habe ich mit Vintage Photo Archival Ink und dann mit Ground Espresso Archival Ink gestempelt. Ich konnte immer noch den Teil sehen, wo das Musterpapier mit meinen Seiten verbunden war, also beschloss ich, auf diese Stellen etwas mehr Struktur aufzutragen, um sie abzudecken. Ich habe die Stamperia Leaf Schablone mit Ranger Opaque Matte Texture Paste verwendet und ein diagonales Blattmuster kreiert. Um etwas Farbe auf und um das Blattmuster herum zu bringen, habe ich Stormy Sky Distress Oxide Spray verwendet. Ich habe die Tinte versprüht, den Überschuss abgetupft und es trocknen lassen. Dann habe ich mit dem Peacock Feathers Distress Spritz glänzende Spritzer hinzugefügt. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass das Blattmuster immer noch im Hintergrund unterging, also gab ich etwas Goldfarbe darüber. Ich habe Dina Wakley Gild (Gold) Heavy Body Acrylic Paint und meinen Finger verwendet, um alle Blätter mit Gold zu bedecken! Mit meinen Blattschablonen und etwas Ground Espresso Archival Tinte habe ich den Musterpapierbereichen meines Projekts einige Blattdetails hinzugefügt. Dann habe ich meine übrig gebliebene Goldfarbe verwendet, um das Projekt zu bespritzen. Ich habe die Ränder der Seiten mit Ground Espresso und Black Soot Archival Tinten abgedunkelt, und fertig war der Hintergrund!

Zeit, meine Bilder vorzubereiten. Die meisten meiner Bilder stammen aus dem Stamperia Timeless Ephemera Paket. Die großen Heißluftballons und die großen Blumen habe ich aus diesem Paket genommen. Die kleineren Heißluftballons stammen aus dem Scrapbooking Pad. Ich habe sie auf meinen Seiten angeordnet und ihnen anschließend mit Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Tinte und einem Pinsel etwas Farbe verliehen. Anschließend habe ich mit Ground Espresso Archival Tinte und einem steifen Pinsel Schatten um sie herum hinzugefügt. Zum Schluss habe ich mit einem weißen Stift noch ein paar Highlights hinzugefügt.

Mein Spruch stammt auch aus dem Stamperia Timeless Scrapbooking Pad. Ich habe ihn ausgeschnitten, die Ränder mit Vintage Photo Archival Tinte behandelt und ihn dann auf meine linke Seite geklebt. Anschließend habe ich mit Ground Espresso Archival Tinte und einem steifen Pinsel Schatten darum herum angebracht. Der Spruch lautet, übersetzt: „Die Welt gehört dir, mach sie dir zu eigen“ und ich hatte das Gefühl, dass er sehr gut zum Thema der fliegenden Heißluftballons passt. Als letzte kleine Verzierung habe ich noch ein paar Punkte mit Nuvo Bright Gold Crystal Drops hinzugefügt.

Und das war das Projekt für heute! Ich spiele immer gerne mit Papier. Meine allerersten Art Journal Seiten wurden mit Stamperia Papieren erstellt. In diesem Sinne sind Stamperia Produkte etwas Besonderes für mich. Und ich finde, die Kombination aus Blau und Gold gefällt mir sehr gut … Was meint ihr?
