Surprise! Happy Birthday!

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday!

I wanted to share with you a birthday card, but first, the list of products I used:

For this birthday card I again started with die cutting the panel out of white cardstock, in addition to that I also cut down a piece of scrap paper to a smaller size as a guide.
So, why a guide? I wanted to use multiple sentiments from the „Bitty Birthday Wished“ stamp set in the background but needed a guide to ensure a proper placement! So I went ahead and placed that smaller piece of paper on top of the card panel to line up the smaller sentiment stamps. This part was a bit fiddly but I do like the end result! 😊

I then grabbed one of my stamp sets that contained a big „HAPPY“ stamp and started ink blending on another small piece of scrap paper that just fit the size of the „Happy“ stamp – I wanted to add colour to this but didn’t feel like inking up the stamp itself. So instead I decided to ink blend the background and then stamp the word „Happy“ on top of it with Versafine Onyx Black ink in order to clear heat emboss. Last step was to fuzzy cut around the word.

For the critter I decided to go with one of the adorable mice from the MFT stamp set „It’s a Mice Time to Celebrate“ – aren’t they just super cute? 😊 I stamped the image in alcohol marker friendly ink, then coloured in the image and afterwards re-stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black ink in order to clear heat emboss.

To finish the card I added the two sub-sentiments as well as a few Enamel Dots.

Hallo zusammen und Happy Wednesday!

Heute habe ich eine Geburtstagskarte für Euch, hier aber erst einmal die Liste der verwendeten Produkte:

Wie so oft habe ich damit begonnen, den Kartenaufleger auszustanzen, gleichzeitig habe ich mir ein Reststück Karton genommen und dieses etwas kleiner als Guide zurechtgeschnitten.
Und warum ein Guide? Ich wollte mehrere Sentiment-Stempel aus dem Set „Bitty Birthday Wishes“ im Hintergrund verwenden, und um die verschiedenen Stempel so gut wie möglich gleichmäßig und akkurat anzubringen brauchte ich eben einen Guide! Dieses kleinere Stück Karton habe ich dann auf meinen Kartenaufleger aufgelegt und anhand der Kante die kleineren Sentiment-Stempel schräg platziert. Das Ganze war etwas knifflig (vorallem weil ich mit meinen Fingern immer wieder an die einzelnen Stempel rangekommen bin und diese dadurch verschoben habe) – aber das Endergebnis gefällt mir sehr! 😊

Als Nächstes habe ich einen „HAPPY“ Stempel genommen und mir ein passendes Stück weißen Cardstock herausgesucht. Ich wollte natürlich auf der Geburtstagskarte noch etwas Farbe unterbringen, allerdings war mir nicht danach, das Wort „Happy“ selbst in diversen Farben abzustempeln. Also habe ich mich dafür entschieden, den Hintergrund bunt zu gestalten und das Wort „HAPPY“ anschließend mit Versafine Onyx Black ink abzustempeln und anschließend klar zu embossen.

Das MFT Stempelset „It’s a Mice Time to Celebrate“ mag ich sehr – sind die Mäuse nicht zuckersüß? 😊 Daher habe ich eins der Motive mit meinen Alkoholmarkern coloriert und anschließend erneut mit Versafine Onyx Black ink abgestempelt und ebenfalls klar embossed.

Anschließend habe ich noch zwei weitere passende Sprüche sowie Enamel Dots angebracht und fertig ist die Geburtstagskarte.
